I STOOD DOWN MY 65TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY FOR ITORI DAY CELEBRATION.... Olu Itori

To showcase my Kingdom as a hub for community, commerce and culture, I hold on my 65th birthday anniversary.

Both my birthday anniversary and Itori Day celebrations are exploring events but for the close intervals of a month difference and considering the geographical area of my Kingdom, covering a much larger areas than the celebratory space for my 65th birthday anniversary, I have decided to stood my 65th birthday anniversary for Itori Day.

Noting that my birthday anniversary hold 1st October 2025 and Itori Day scheduled for 1st November,2025 and considering the population of my town to the number of years i am to celebrate (my 65th birthday anniversary) , it's clear that my Kingdom's population is much larger than the number of my years.

The size of my Kingdom and my birthday anniversary are two vastly important challenging celebrations not comparable for their significant purposes thought, yet the scale or magnitude of my birthday anniversary and Itori Day Celebrations have different relatitive importance.

Itori, my Kingdon, with a population of over 420,000 people is much larger than my 65th birthday anniversary.

Thinking deeply, I have considered my Kingdom as a hub for community, commerce, and culture. I have no option than to hold on my 65th birthday anniversary because itori, my Kingdom is greater than me.

I welcome felitation greetings from all and sundry for my 65th birthday anniversary but I shall appreciate all and sundry to gather with me as co celebrants of Itori Day on 1st November, 2025 .

The 44th Olubadan, HRM Oba Abdul-Rasheed Akande Ladoja,Adewólu Arusa1 has officially been presented the staff of office today 26/09/25.
Baba Ladoja has been a political colossus and social enigma in the economic engineering of Ibadan and indeed Oyo State as a whole. His people love and have stood by him over the years even when he was ousted from office by the powers during the political era of President Obasanjo.

Baba daada ni baba Ladoja in more ways than one. Testament to the greatness of Baba is his pronouncements during Ọọni's visit to his home.

In this life i realised that there are people you are only meant to admire from the picture you see of them yes keep them at a distance, never go too close or establish relationships of any kind with them because you are likely to wipe away that admiration once you get to know they are not truly whom they pose to be by the looks that fascinated you. Infact you will wish and pray never to meet their type again in your journey.
On the other hand there are also people whom you you think you can't have a thing to do with based on their presentation, looks or circumstances surrounding how you met or know them however going close to them will convince you not only that, they steal your heart and you both glued up till eternity to a point you ask yourself how come i didn't realise how good, loving and kind this person i so much dislike is? That's where the yoruba adage that says " isunmóni ni a nmó iwa ara éni" takes effect in relationships. Meaning the more you get close to someone the more you realise whom they truly are. Never judge a book by it's cover.
Get to know people before you go too close or drift away from them, don't hate blindly, don't love blindly👌👌
