Do you believe that God created man from mud? Do you believe such an ideology?
My answer:
Yes, I believe God created man from mud - in fact, He says clay in the Qur’an. Allah also says that He created man from water. Then He says that He breathed the soul into man. And the soul itself was also created by Allah. The soul belongs to Allah. The soul is not a part of Allah.
The components in mud - such as silicon oxide, iron, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and others - are also found in the human body. Man’s body is made out of cells, and cells contain about 60% water. Hence, the Qur’an has guided us to understand the creation of man through the Creator’s own words.
Hence, when man is burried in mud, over a period of time, man's body gets disintegrated and become part of mud.
Proofs rom the Qur’an
1. Creation from Clay (Mud)
"We created man from an extract of clay."
(Qur’an 23:12)
"Indeed, We created them from sticky clay."
(Qur’an 37:11)
"Indeed, I am creating a human being from clay, from molded mud."
(Qur’an 15:28)
2. Creation from Water
"And He it is Who created man from water, and made for him kindred by blood and marriage."
(Qur’an 25:54)
"And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"
(Qur’an 21:30)
3. Breathing of the Soul
"So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down to him in prostration."
(Qur’an 38:72)
4. Allah as the Sole Creator
"Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs."
(Qur’an 39:62)
From the Hadeeths:
1. Man Created on Friday
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"The best day the sun rises over is Friday: on it Allah created Adam, on it he was made to enter Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it."
(Saheeh Muslim, 854)
2. Stages of Creation
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Allah created Adam from a handful which He took from all of the earth. So the children of Adam came according to the earth - some red, some white, some black, and some in between, and some easy, some difficult, some filthy, and some pure."
(Sunan Abu Dawood, 4693 — authenticated by Shaikh al-Albani)
