A bit of a long shot but does anyone remember a greengrocer at this address (134 Cambridge Road), owned by Thomas and Iris Garnham back in the 1970s? I understand they lived in the flat above.

If anyone has old pictures of the greengrocer, please feel free to share πŸ’•

Kingston War Memorial in the Memorial Gardens on Union Street commemorates the men of the town who died in the First World War. The memorial was updated, after 1945, to recognise casualties from the Second World War.

The Jo Malone boutique located at 48 Union Street, at the edge of Memorial Gardens, opened in December 2008, becoming a fixture of the local town centre. I understand that prior to 2008, the Jo Malone site was a bakery?

Sad to see there has been no replacement for HazsBake in Clarence Street since its closure at the end of 2024. Hopefully something useful will take its place, not another barber or v**e shop, as there are more than plenty in Kingston.

I used to love their pizzas (which were sold by individual slices) and I was gutted to see them go.

Kingston Bridge on a cloudy Friday afternoon πŸ’•.

Did you know that the bridge we see today was first opened in 1825 and has been widened twice to accommodate modern vehicles and, recently, bike lanes?
