Today is the last day of our European project Transbook, Children's Literature On The Move, co-funded by Creative Europe!
In four years, Transbook has developed a programme of 170 events with partners in 6 European Union countries (Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse en Seine-Saint-Denis, Literárne informačné centrum, Hamelin associazione culturale, Europäische Kinder- und Jugendbuchmesse e.V., Tantàgora Serveis Culturals, Art Basics for Children) and the United Kingdom (Nobrow) to promote authors' mobility as well as to encourage professionals in book publishing, video games, cinema and TV to become involved in the creation of digital stories for children.

💼 The springboard meetings are back at the ELCAF ! These one on one portfolio reviews are a huge chance for young creatives to meet industry experts, show their work or ask questions to gain insight into the professional creative industries !

📆 It will take place on June 22, each expert is available for an hour, divided into 15min slots. Booking your slot is simple and free !

The 2 artistic installations thought by Daniela Olejnikova Illustration and Katrin Stangl « to read between the lines » - for the Transbook exhibition - are in London thanks to and Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse en Seine-Saint-Denis. 📆The BRaK - Bratislavský knižný festival starts today with three exhibitions !

Laurent Moreau will showcase his work at 17:00 at the french institute.
Jiri Salamoun will be at 18:00 at the university library
Anne Margot Ramstein is finally presenting her universe at 19:00 at the gallery ART BOOKS COFFEE !

🌎Once again this year some authors and illustrators will take part to the festival through the Transbook mobility program, thanks to Literárne informačné centrum !

Congratulations to the winners selected by "Talking Pictures: Selected Books", especially in the Children's books category:

"Cabanes" by Aurèlien Débat (Les Grandes Personnes)

"Town Is by the Sea" by Joanne Schwartz and Sydney Smith (Groundwood Books / House of Anansi Press)

"Nos Vacances" by Blexbolex (Trapèze Albin Michel Jeunesse)

The winning titles were chosen by a jury of professionals from PublishersWeekly, our Italian Transbook partner Hamelin associazione culturale and our Transbook ambassador Steven Guarnaccia.

Launched in conjunction with the forthcoming New York Rights Fair, the inaugural Talking Pictures: Selected Books is a new juried competition that honors excellence in visual books published in the preceding year.

We are currently setting up our Transbook exhibition « The Rule and The Game: a sensory reading lab » with Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse en Seine-Saint-Denis and Tantàgora Serveis Culturals at the Central Library of Cerdanyola del Valles, close to Barcelona.
