Lately, I’ve noticed something about my daughter that really made me think. ❤️
I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately. Motherhood, life, and trying to put some things in place for myself have taken a lot of my attention, so I haven’t been creating and posting like I used to.
But guess what? My daughter is still watching. 😂❤️
Anytime she sees me with my phone, she wants to record me.
“Mommy, let’s do Hi guys!” 😂
She picks up the phone, takes pictures, records videos and wants to do everything she has seen Mummy doing. Sometimes I’ll tell her, “Not now, Mummy isn’t ready.” But I started thinking about it differently.
She is learning from me.
Our children are watching us more than we realise. They copy the way we speak, what we do, how we behave and even the things we enjoy.
And it reminded me of something I want to tell every mother:
Don’t be too quick to shut down your child’s interests just because they don’t make sense to you yet.
That little thing they keep doing might be the beginning of something beautiful.
Let them explore. Let them create. Let them ask questions. Let them imitate you. Guide them, teach them boundaries, but don’t kill their curiosity.
My daughter may not understand social media yet, but she already understands creativity. She sees Mummy creating, and she wants to create too. ❤️
So now, instead of always saying, “No, not now,” I’m learning to say, “Okay, show Mummy what you want to do.” 🥹❤️
We may not post everything she records 😂, but I want her to know that her ideas matter.
Mummies, remember: our children are watching. What they see us doing today can become what they dream of doing tomorrow. ❤️
Let’s give them room to explore, while we guide them along the way. 🌸
