Daniel Bwala’s interview with Medhi Hasan came across as deeply disappointing and very Shameful

Mr I never said that.

Instead of acknowledging the serious economic hardship and insecurity many Nigerians face, his responses appeared defensive and dismissive, leaning heavily on denial rather than honest reflection. When public figures refuse to confront obvious problems, then it shows there is no hope at all. 👎👎👎

One Month of Building a Facebook Content Creation Page: Here’s What I’ve Observed.

Exactly one month ago, I decided to start a new journey, building a page centered on content creation, basically for impact. 😁🤝

Now, here’s the interesting part.

I already have almost 2,500 followers on my main account It would have been easy to leverage that audience and immediately give my new page a head start. But I intentionally chose not to.

Why?

Because I wanted to test something.
I wanted to see how Facebook truly recommends pages. I wanted to understand how fast you can grow when you rely primarily on Facebook’s algorithm and not just your existing audience.

I wanted organic growth, and not borrowed visibility.

So I started from scratch. 🤣

After creating the page, I sent invitations to my almost 2,500 followers. And guess what? Only 30 people followed.

Thirty.
Out of almost 2,500. 😂😂😂.

And Honestly I appreciate everyone of you that followed. ❤️❤️❤️🩷🩷

That moment was eye-opening. It showed me something important: many people prefer to associate with what has already “blown.” People are naturally drawn to momentum. When something looks established, it feels safer to support. When it’s new and still growing, the excitement is lower.

But here’s the encouraging part. 👌❤️👍

Despite that slow start, through consistent posting and intentional content, the page grew to 96 organic followers by the end of the month. No hype. No paid ads. Just steady content and Facebook recommendations.

I never even post video at all sef, because I nor be the type wey Dey like face Camera 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Anyway, when that time comes, we go dive into it fully.

That alone taught me that growth is possible, even when it starts quietly.

Another thing I noticed: more non-followers have viewed or seen the contents than followers.

When you post, people view.
They watch, they read
They scroll.
And then… they waka-pass.

Engagement is low. Not many likes. Not many comments. But the views are there.
And it makes you wonder

why?
Are they observing silently?Are they unsure?Are they waiting to see consistency?
Why are they simply consuming without interacting?

Building in public is quite humbling. It tests your patience. It tests your confidence. It tests whether you truly believe in what you’re creating or doing, 😔😔even when the applause is small.

Now I’m at a point where I’m asking myself or even you the viewers and waka-passers:
Do I continue pushing consistently?
Or do I pause and come back later? 🤣🤣

For me, I feel the seeds I am planting are still underground and they will grow.

As I walk down the coastal path of this serene Merseyside river this evening and holding my phone to write out something, the thought that comes to my head was the thought of my very first interview as a data management specialist with one of the biggest financial institution here in the UK. From the moment I received the interview invite, the thoughts in my head felt heavier than it should have. 😒😒

In my head, i imagined being in a courtroom. I imagined sharp questions about financial models I might not fully know or understand, technical concepts I would blank on, finance experience I have never had because I had never worked in any financial institution. Most of my experience had been in the international development sector before then.

In my head, the thought was I wasn’t good “enough.” I imagined the interviewers exchanging glances, silently confirming I wasn’t ready. By the time I reached the office lobby, I had rejected myself a dozen times.

As a matter of fact, I rehearsed apologies for mistakes I hadn’t yet made.

All of these played out in thoughts and imaginations.

Until the day of the interview, and the interview began.

The first question was simple: “Tell us about yourself.” It wasn’t a trap but rather an invitation. As I spoke, they listened, like they really listened.

When I paused to think, no one rushed me. When I admitted I was still learning certain areas of finance, they nodded, asking how I approached learning instead of why I didn’t know everything already.
We ended up discussing ideas, not interrogating flaws. They picked my brain and were curious about my perspective and background, not hunting for my weaknesses.

I walked out of that room that day realizing something powerful: REALITY IS USUALLY KINDER THAN THE THOUGHTS AND IMAGINATION IN OUR HEAD. It is not combative, but rather collaborative and inclusive. The harshest critic in the room had been my own thoughts, imaginations and fears.

That day taught me that most limits are imagined rehearsals of failure. If we let fearful thoughts decide for us, we never show up. But when we take the step anyway, reality often meets us with far more kindness than our minds ever predict.🤝🤝

As a futurist, one question I asked myself that’s shaping the career decisions I have been making lately is “What kind of human beings will thrive between now and 2030?

Whoever they are, they will be the owners of the future from 2030 onward.

Listen, the truth is simple. The future does not belong to those who work harder. It belongs to those who understand what is changing, what is becoming obsolete, and what must be redesigned.

The future belongs to those who can do what machines cannot, and to those who know how to partner intelligently with machines to do what must be done.

And that is why one of the reason I created this page is to not just challenge you but as time goes on, I will be creating systems for people who do not want to wake up five years from now confused, displaced, or irrelevant inside systems they do not understand.
