As requested, here are examples of being PRIDEFUL vs CONFIDENT -
Confidence: “I’m good at what I do.”
Pride: “I’m better than everyone else.”
Confidence: “God has given me gifts and I’m not afraid to use them.”
Pride: “My gifts make me more important than other people.”
Confidence: “I disagree with you, but I’ll listen to your point of view.”
Pride: “If you disagree with me, you’re obviously wrong.”
Confidence: “I’ll consider that correction and see if there’s any truth in it.”
Pride: “Who are you to correct me?”
Confidence: “I forgive you, but I won’t allow you to keep treating me badly.”
Pride: “You disrespected me, so I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Confidence: “I’m proud of what I achieved and grateful to God.”
Pride: “Look what I achieved. I proved everyone wrong.”
Confidence: “They’re doing really well. Good for them.”
Pride: “They don’t deserve that. I’m better than them.”
Confidence: “I can lead while still listening to other people.”
Pride: “I’m the leader, so nobody should question me.”
Confidence: “Look at what God has brought me through.”
Pride: “Look at how spiritual and important I am.”
Confidence: “I love you, but my answer is no.” Pride: “You’re beneath me and I don’t need you.”
Confidence: “I know my worth without needing everyone to recognise it.”
Pride: “I need everyone to recognise how valuable I am.”
Confidence: “I can celebrate someone else without feeling threatened.”
Pride: “If they’re getting attention, I need to prove I’m better.”
Confidence: “I know who I am in Christ, I still have things to learn.”
Pride: “I know God, so I don’t need anyone telling me anything.”
Confidence: “I made a mistake. I’ll own it and learn from it.”
Pride: “I’m not admitting I was wrong.”
Confidence: “I don’t need everyone to like me.” Pride: “Anyone who doesn’t like me must be demonised.”
Hope it helps ❤️
