With Love In Winter

The Portobello Film Festival is holding a Free Winter Film Festival between 3rd and 7th December and will be screening a number of its recent award winning films during the festival, including From Mother, With Love, on Saturday 6th December, as per the below links.

The screening on Saturday 6th December begins at 6pm and our film should be on at around 7.25 PM if any of you wish to attend. It’s a free event.

The location is the same as for their film festival screening and awards ceremony back in September, i.e. at The Muse Art Gallery, 269 Portobello Road, London, W11 1LR.

We hope to see some of you there.

Portobello Film Festival concludes its anniversary programming with a Winter Festival to celebrate local talent, past and present, spanning five days of free events. Everybody Loves A Winner!

Little Dude Films’ produced short film, From Mother, With Love, continues its highly successful film festival run by winning the Best Comedy Award at this year’s 30th Portobello Film Festival.

Little Dude Films’ director and the film’s producer, Ian Beaumont attended The Portobello Film Festival Awards Ceremony on 14th September 2025 and spoke on behalf of the film after the Best Comedy Award was announced. From Mother, With Love is directed by Gabi Wood and written by Mark A.C. Brown.

This win completes a hat-trick of successes for Little Dude Films at The Portobello Film Festival. In previous years, we have won Best Drama awards in the Festival for two other short films we respectively produced and executive produced: Shades of Beige, starring Michelle Dockery and Drift, both of which were written and directed by Aimee Powell.

Little Dude Love Fest!

Little Dude Film’s latest short film, From Mother, With Love, continues to take the film festival circuit by storm.

The film has been shortlisted for a Comedy Award in this year’s 30th Portobello Film Festival in London, as per the below screenshot from the Festival website.

Being shortlisted in the Portobello is an excellent result, considering the fact that 175 films have been screened during the Festival. The awards ceremony is on Sunday 14th September 2025 and I’ll let you know how we get on.

From Mother, With Love has also been selected for screening in two more prestigious festivals: The Golden Bridge Istanbul Short Film Festival in September 2025; and the HB Film Festival in Paisley, Scotland in October 2025, with hopefully more to follow.

Love clearly is all you need!

Little Dude Films AKA Let’s Do Festivals!

Little Dude Films has got a very busy couple of weeks coming up, with three film festivals and one premiere to attend on behalf of two of our films in August 2025.

Our very well received short comedy/drama, From Mother, With Love, directed by Gabi Wood, written by Mark A.C. Brown and produced by Ian Beaumont for Little Dude Films is being screened in three prestigious UK festivals this month, all of which we’re planning to attend. These are as follows:

From Mother, With Love is being screened at the Chichester International Film Festival at the Chichester Cinema at New Park on the evening of Wednesday 20th August 2025. The festival is celebrating its 33rd year this year and our film is one of only eleven films selected for their Short Film Showcase;

Our film is also being screened at the Horsham Film Festival at the Everyman Cinema in Horsham on the evening of 29th August 2025. From Mother, With Love has been selected as one of only three films in their Best Comedy category;

Our film is also being screened at the Portobello Film Festival at the Muse Gallery in London, W11, on the evening of 31st August 2025. The Portobello Film Festival is celebrating its thirtieth year this year and Little Dude Films has been lucky enough to win two best drama awards for our short films in the festival in previous years, so fingers crossed for From Mother, With Love.

We are also premiering our short comedy/drama, On Hold, at The Theatreship in Canary Wharf, London, E14 on the evening of Tuesday 26th August 2025. On Hold is written and directed by Chloe Palmer Laporte and produced by Ian Beaumont for Little Dude Films and we are screening it alongside another short film, All the Women You Have Been, by Jessica Holbrook and Stephanie Ritzema.
