🚨 TKO “DO NOT CARE” WHO HOLDS WWECHAMPIONS

A new report has revealed how WWE’s corporate owners allegedly view the company’s titleholders.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TKO’s upper management does not have strong positive or negative opinions about “small things” such as who is currently champion.

Instead, those executives are reportedly focused on WWE’s bigger corporate picture—including major financial agreements and business strategy.

The report also claims there were mixed feelings within WWE about putting the top championship back on Sami Zayn.

CM Punk may be the bigger name from a marketing perspective, but Zayn had been producing some of his strongest work and playing an important role on SmackDown.

Triple H ultimately decided to reward him with another championship reign.

However, the report suggests TKO executives had little interest in that individual creative decision, with responsibility for matters such as title changes largely left to WWE’s creative team.

That does not necessarily mean TKO dislikes or disrespects WWE’s champions—but it does suggest who holds the gold is not a major concern at the corporate level.

Should TKO take a greater interest in WWE’s creative direction, or leave those decisions entirely to Triple H? 👀

🚨 NETFLIX WANTS WWE TO FEATURE MORE TOP STARS AND MAJOR MATCHES ON RAW...

The September 14 episode of WWE Raw from Mexico City, headlined by Roman Reigns against Penta, reportedly attracted more than THREE MILLION viewers.

That made it Raw’s strongest number since WrestleMania season—despite the show competing against the opening week of Monday Night Football.

According to WrestleVotes, both WWE and Netflix were delighted with the result.

Netflix is now reportedly pushing for Raw to feature bigger names and more high-profile matches regularly in an attempt to recreate the excitement surrounding the Mexico City episode.

WWE gave Reigns versus Penta significant promotion beforehand, making the match feel much bigger than a standard weekly television main event.

The difficult part will be finding the right balance.

Featuring stars such as Reigns, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk more frequently could help Raw produce stronger numbers—but using them too often could also make their appearances feel less special.

WWE must now decide whether blockbuster matches become the new normal on Raw or remain major attractions saved for selected episodes.

🚨 PENTA IS REPORTEDLY THE NEW FAVOURITE TO WIN MONEY IN THE BANK...

Penta may be closing in on the biggest opportunity of his WWE career.

According to WrestleVotes, members of WWE’s creative team have identified Penta as a “heavy favorite” to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

The development reportedly follows his impressive World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns in Mexico City.

That match was originally expected to be a one-off, but Penta’s performance is said to have convinced WWE officials that he can operate at main-event level.

He then replaced Solo Sikoa in a Money in the Bank qualifier and defeated Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee to secure his place in the ladder match.

Winning the briefcase could give WWE a direct route back to Penta versus Reigns—this time with Penta carrying a guaranteed world-title opportunity.

Nothing has been officially confirmed, and WWE could still change direction before the event.

But Penta has seemingly gone from being outside the world-title picture to becoming one of the strongest candidates to win the entire match.

Would you put the Money in the Bank briefcase on Penta? 👀

🚨 SPOILER FOR TONIGHT'S SMACKDOWN

CM Punk is scheduled to compete in a Money in the Bank qualifying match on Friday’s SmackDown—but a new report may have revealed how it ends.

According to WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, there is currently uncertainty surrounding Punk’s involvement at Money in the Bank on October 10.

Punk was reportedly discussed for the event at one stage, but his status is no longer considered certain.

That has led to speculation that he may lose his qualifier on SmackDown.

If WWE cannot guarantee Punk will be available for the premium live event, putting him into the ladder match would create the risk of needing to remove and replace him later.

A defeat would also allow Punk to remain involved in the ongoing Undisputed WWE Championship story featuring Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Nothing has been officially confirmed, and this remains an inference based on the report rather than a confirmed spoiler.

Do you think CM Punk should qualify for Money in the Bank—or remain focused on the WWE Championship picture? 👀

🚨 ROMAN REIGNS SAYS EVERY WWE STAR BECOMES MORE VALUABLE AFTER STEPPING INTO THE RING WITH HIM...

Roman knows exactly how that statement sounds—but insists it comes from confidence rather than disrespect.

🗣️ “If you’re in the ring with me, your value’s going up.”

Speaking to Complex, the World Heavyweight Champion explained that his position allows WWE to use his established star power to elevate whoever is selected to eventually follow him.

According to Reigns, having one match with him is different from being deliberately positioned as the wrestler WWE could transition towards next.

Roman believes his credibility can be used to:

🚀 Put a rocket on another wrestler’s back

📈 Increase an opponent’s perceived value

⭐ Establish someone as a genuine main-event attraction

🔥 Give fans the very best version of Roman Reigns

Penta may be the latest example.

The masked superstar pushed Reigns during their World Heavyweight Championship match on Raw in Mexico City, producing what many fans considered a Match of the Year contender.

Penta lost—but emerged from the match looking like a genuine main-event star.

He has since qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match, giving him a realistic opportunity to secure a future world-title shot.

Next up is LA Knight.

Knight will challenge Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on October 10—and has promised to force Roman to acknowledge him as the new champion.

Unlike Roman’s historic run as Undisputed WWE Champion, his current reign has not depended on assistance from The Bloodline.

That means Knight may have to defeat Reigns at his very best.

Roman’s claim may sound arrogant, but history supports it. Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Penta all left major programmes with Reigns feeling more important than when they entered them.

Does Roman Reigns genuinely elevate everyone he faces—or is The Tribal Chief giving himself too much credit? 👇

🚨 ROMAN REIGNS SAYS ONLY ONE CURRENT WRESTLER HAS PROVEN HE CAN CARRY WWE...

And that wrestler is Cody Rhodes.

During a recent interview, Reigns explained that becoming WWE’s true franchise player requires far more than delivering one great match or receiving a major push.

It requires years of consistency, durability, ambition and the ability to perform whenever the company needs you.

According to Roman, the person carrying WWE must be able to deliver:

🔥 Under the brightest spotlight

😴 While physically exhausted

🤒 When sick or hurting

📅 Throughout WWE’s relentless schedule

💰 With the pressure of representing a billion-dollar company

Reigns believes Cody has already demonstrated that he can handle that responsibility.

“There’s only been one who’s been able to carry that banner, and that’s been Cody.”

Rhodes defeated Reigns at WrestleMania 40, ending his historic 1,316-day Undisputed WWE Championship reign.

Cody then remained WWE’s leading champion for roughly a year before eventually losing the title to John Cena.

Roman also discussed The Rock—but made it clear that he considers his cousin’s rise to global superstardom almost impossible to recreate.

🗣️ “Dwayne is the anomaly. He is the outlier. Nobody’s ever gonna do it like The Rock.”

Reigns believes younger wrestlers will eventually take control of WWE as he gradually steps away, although he still has unfinished business.

He said there are several years’ worth of loose ends and unanswered questions from his storylines that he would like to revisit before completely phasing out.

As WWE’s emerging stars become bigger names, Roman expects them to create new dream matches and major situations for him during the closing chapter of his career.

Cody and Roman may be legendary rivals—but this is enormous praise from the man who carried WWE through one of its most successful modern eras.

Is Cody Rhodes the right person to carry WWE’s banner—or would you choose somebody else? 👇

🚨 MJF HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN NAMED THE NO. 1 WRESTLER IN THE 2026 PWI 500...

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has released its annual ranking—and the former AEW World Champion has finished ahead of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and 497 other wrestlers.

The evaluation period ran from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026, with MJF’s achievements earning him the top position.

The official Top 10:

🥇 MJF — AEW

🥈 Cody Rhodes — WWE

🥉 CM Punk — WWE

4️⃣ Místico — CMLL/AEW

5️⃣ Konosuke Takesh*ta — AEW

6️⃣ Hangman Adam Page — AEW

7️⃣ Yota Tsuji — NJPW

8️⃣ Trick Williams — WWE

9️⃣ Oba Femi — WWE

🔟 GUNTHER — WWE

The rest of the Top 20 includes some enormous names:

11. Bandido
12. Darby Allin
13. Cruz Montana
14. Callum Newman
15. Kenny Omega
16. Will Ospreay
17. Kazuchika Okada
18. Dominik Mysterio
19. Jon Moxley
20. Seth Rollins

The PWI 500 is not designed to rank wrestlers purely by popularity or subjective match quality.

The magazine considers several factors during its evaluation period, including:

🏆 Championships and tournament success

📊 Win-loss records

🔥 Quality of competition

🌍 Influence within a promotion and the wider industry

🤼 Technical ability and in-ring performances

📅 Overall activity and the required number of singles matches

MJF previously reached the top of the PWI 500 in 2023, becoming the first wrestler primarily associated with AEW to earn the No. 1 ranking.

Now he has returned to the top of the wrestling world.

With AEW claiming four positions inside the Top 10 and WWE taking another four, the 2026 list is certain to create plenty of debate.

Did PWI make the right choice—or should Cody Rhodes or CM Punk have been No. 1? 👇

🚨PENTA’S WORLD TITLE MAIN EVENT HELPED WWE RAW DRAW ITS BIGGEST AUDIENCE IN MONTHS...

Netflix has released its viewing figures for the September 14 episode of Monday Night Raw—and the numbers are enormous.

The episode, headlined by Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta in Mexico City, generated 3.1 MILLION views.

That made it Raw’s most-watched episode since shortly after WrestleMania 42.

📺 September 14 Raw: 3.1 million views

📊 Previous nine-week average: 2.5 million

📈 Increase above that average: approximately 24%

Roman Reigns undoubtedly played a major role. However, Reigns has headlined other episodes that did not reach this level—suggesting the Penta match itself was something fans genuinely wanted to see.

The figure comes as WWE reportedly begins viewing Penta as a legitimate main-event talent.

Since arriving in WWE, Penta has:

🏆 Won the Intercontinental Championship

🔥 Competed at WrestleMania

🇲🇽 Earned a world-title match against Roman Reigns in Mexico City

💼 Qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match

Reports following his performance against Reigns indicated that WWE executives had become increasingly impressed and were reconsidering how high he could rise on the card.

The audience figures cannot be credited to one wrestler alone—but Penta was placed in the biggest match possible, opposite WWE’s top attraction, and millions of people watched.

If WWE continues pushing him at this level, a future world-title reign may no longer feel unrealistic.

🚨 WWE HAS REMOVED A NEW TRICK WILLIAMS T-SHIRT FOLLOWING SERIOUS BACKLASH FROM FANS...

The “Lemon Pepper Steppers” shirt appeared on WWE Shop on Monday, September 21—but was quietly removed shortly afterwards.

The design featured Trick Williams’ white wrestling boot surrounded by fried chicken wings, referencing his “Lemon Pepper Steppers” catchphrase.

Almost immediately, the merchandise attracted widespread criticism online.

👕 Some fans simply described the design as ugly

🤖 Others questioned whether the artwork had been created using AI

⚠️ Many argued that using fried-chicken imagery on merchandise for a Black wrestler carried racist stereotypes

One social-media user questioned how the shirt had made it through WWE’s approval process, while others compared the controversy to the Jordan Myles T-shirt incident from 2019.

That previous design was heavily criticised after Myles—now known as ACH—said its imagery resembled blackface.

Not everyone agreed that the new Trick Williams shirt was racist.

Some fans argued that the wings were simply a literal representation of his “Lemon Pepper Steppers” phrase and suggested that Williams may have approved the design himself.

However, even several people defending WWE agreed that the finished shirt was poorly designed and should never have gone on sale.

There has been no confirmation that AI was used to create the artwork, and WWE has not publicly explained why the shirt disappeared from its online store.

What is confirmed is that the merchandise was available—and following intense backlash, it is no longer listed.

Do you think the design was offensive, simply badly executed—or both? 👇
