Panadera is a modern Filipino bakery and coffee shop that's giving our classic Filipino breads and sandwiches a fresh twist. They bake their pandesal fresh every day and turn it into delicious sandos, pastries, and desserts that perfectly blend Filipino flavors with a modern cafΓ© vibe.

This was hands down our favorite! It was absolutely bomb and seriously banging! The corned beef hash was so flavorful, the pandesal was soft, and everything just worked perfectly together. If you're only ordering one thing, make it this!

πŸ₯ͺ Chicken & Mushroom Sando
Creamy, comforting, and really satisfying. Another solid choice if you're after something savory.

πŸ₯ͺ Chicken Caesar Sando ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This one was surprisingly good too! It was packed with filling, super tasty, and honestly one sandwich is enough to make you feel full.

🍞 Ube Toast
Simple but delicious. The ube spread was rich and creamy, making it a great sweet treat to pair with your coffee.

πŸ₯ Leche Flan Danish
I really enjoyed this because it wasn't overly sweet. The pastry was flaky, and the leche flan filling was just right.

🍩 Ube Doughnut
This one was just okay for me. It had ube filling inside, but I was hoping for a bit more. Still nice, but probably not something I'd order again.

πŸ›οΈ After all that eating, we made a quick stop at Uniqlo and IKEA to burn off at least some of the calories. πŸ˜‚

πŸš‡ And then, we took the tube back to Kilburn Station, which is about an 8 to 10-minute walk from our Airbnb.

πŸ— And because apparently we still had room for more food... πŸ€£πŸ˜… we ordered our all-time favourite, Jollibee, through Uber Eats for dinner before calling it a night.

I honestly think we gained a few pounds in just one day! πŸ˜‚ But hey, we also walked around 20k–25k steps, so I guess it all balanced out... right? 🀭🀭🀭

Life gets busy, but weekends like this remind me to slow down and appreciate the people who make ordinary days feel special. 😌

One thing I love about living in the UK is discovering places like this. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸŒΏ You don't always have to travel far or spend a lot to have a memorable day. Sometimes all you need is a beautiful spot, good company, delicious food, and a little sunshine. β˜€οΈπŸ˜Ž

This wasn't just another weekend food trip and swimming day.
We also celebrated our dear friend Rica's birthday! πŸ₯³ Happy Birthday, Rica! Wishing you nothing but happiness, good health, and more adventures with us! 🫢🏻

This time, we visited Pool Bridge Farm, a beautiful wild swimming and wellness spot just outside York. If you're looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this hidden gem is definitely worth adding to your list!

🌿 A few things to know before you go:

β€’ Day visitors are welcome from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
β€’ Adult day pass is Β£8 (sauna sessions are around Β£16)
β€’ Advance online booking is required. They don't sell tickets at the gate, so if it's fully booked online, unfortunately you won't be able to enter.
β€’ There's plenty of free parking available.
β€’ Paddleboarding and sauna sessions must also be booked in advance.

⚠️ Safety reminders:
Pool Bridge Farm is an unlifeguarded wild swimming venue, so please come prepared and swim responsibly.
They have excellent safety measures in place, including rescue equipment, first aid stations, defibrillators, trained staff, regular water quality testing, and clearly marked swimming areas. However, you are responsible for your own safety.

🐢 Dogs are not allowed (except assistance dogs).

🚭 The entire site is smoke free, music free, and alcohol free (except for the Meadows Campsite), making it a peaceful place for everyone to enjoy nature.
Overall, we had such a lovely day filled with good food, lots of laughs, a refreshing swim, and quality time celebrating our friend.
Sometimes, the best weekends are the simple ones spent with your favorite people. ❀️
