The second wedding of the double-whammy weekend, and this time it was Holly & Liam’s big day at The Derby Conference Centre, a venue I visit quite a lot!

The Sunken Lounge and ceremony rooms looked fantastic, with the lovely décor and styling they had chosen really bringing everything together.

It was a more intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends, with entertainment later on from the brilliant DJ Daz. The staff at the centre were great as always, and the food was fantastic too!

It was also great to work alongside Zoe, who provided the videography for the day and captured all those extra moments alongside the photography.

Here are just a few sneak peeks from their wonderful wedding day and as always, it’s never easy narrowing them down! I hope you enjoy them.

A double whammy wedding weekend, starting with Lauren & Mitch’s big day at the beautiful ‘The Ashes Barns’ and was lovely to return once again. ❤️

The venue looked fantastic, with all the rustic charm it has to offer, beautifully complemented by the lovely décor and styling.

Lauren’s brother Sam and Jamie provided the afternoon entertainment with their duo in the courtyard, while a harpist added a beautiful touch to the ceremony. We headed out for some rowing boat photos, capturing some gorgeous dusk shots and of course, I couldn’t forget the Highland cows who were very photogenic for us! 🐄

The tractor was also a firm favourite with both the couple and the children, it’s always great when you can incorporate something a little different into the photos!

The morning preparations absolutely flew by, with hair and make-up by the ladies from Studio 46, and the food from Jenkins was superb once again. The evening entertainment was provided by the great guys from Captain Atlantic Band, who certainly got everyone onto the dance floor! 🎶

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura & Rob’s incredible wedding, which brought me back to the fabulous Foxtail Barns.

With around 120 of their closest family and friends there to celebrate, the day was packed full of laughter, love and plenty of unforgettable moments.

The venue looked fantastic thanks to the ladies at Wedding Flowers & Styling. Hannah-May did an incredible job keeping the day running seamlessly, the Jenkins team once again served up amazing food as always, and the band kept the dance floor packed all evening. A shout out to the hair and make-up girls, who did a wonderful job during the morning preparations, crazy golf company and the guy serving up 200+ cocktails.

The gents looked incredibly sharp in their suits from Peter Posh (guys, we still need to sort out those photos from the Salt House earlier in the year - the season has taken over, sorry!). Beautiful dresses 👗 too, lovely colours!

After the wedding breakfast, we managed to sneak away for some portraits in the venue’s extensive and beautiful gardens. It was the perfect time to head outside, as we’re still in the middle of the UK heatwave. The evening light, stunning surroundings and a few quiet moments together made for some truly lovely photographs.

Hi Claire & Dwyne, a little update from me!

I’m pleased to say all of the editing is now complete, so the next step is getting your gallery prepared and uploaded. Please bear with me just a little longer, as I have a wedding meeting this evening, but your gallery is next on my list.

Once that’s finished, I’ll finally be completely up to date before heading off on holiday for some family time. I’ll certainly need it before returning to photograph nine weddings in August along with many properties and drone work !! 📸

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Ruth & Stef’s wedding at the historic Derby Conference Centre on a glorious summer’s day.

They chose an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, before welcoming many more guests for an incredible party-style evening reception.

The venue looked fantastic thanks to the talented team at - who also provided the Magic Mirror which kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. DJ Dave from .uk kept the dance floor buzzing with some epic tunes, and it’s always a pleasure working alongside the wonderful staff at the Derby Conference Centre.
A special mention also goes to the chef and kitchen team for serving an absolutely delicious meal – bravo!

We managed to sneak away for a couple of portrait sessions during the day, including one on the venue’s historic railway tracks, creating some wonderfully unique and memorable wedding photographs that many will not have in their collection. And some of the best wedding favours I’ve ever seen, an Ai photo of each guest, very thoughtful and time well spent creating!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Claire & Dwyne’s wedding, starting at St Martin’s Church before heading over to the iconic Trent Building on the University of Nottingham campus for their reception.

Surrounded by family and friends, it was a fantastic day of celebrations. They’d certainly thought of everything when it came to entertainment with a magician, casino tables and a photo booth keeping guests entertained throughout the day and into the evening.

The weather was an absolute scorcher, but we managed to find some welcome shade for the couple’s portrait session before later bringing everyone together to create a heart shaped group photograph – always a fun but tricky image to capture.

The bridesmaids arrived in style in a limousine, which was also used to whisk the newlyweds over to the campus, adding another special touch to an already memorable day.

Catering was by the events team and very nice, who certainly looked after me well in the intense heat.

As always, narrowing the photographs down to just a small selection to share has been incredibly difficult. There was so much happening from start to finish, making it a wedding packed with wonderful moments and memories.

Saturday saw me return to Darwin Lake in the heart of the Peak District for Clair & Paul’s wedding. Set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside, it’s the perfect venue for what promises to be an amazing day and the weather made that happen, with everyone outside enjoying the sunshine, garden games and bouncy castle.

It was a fantastic celebration surrounded by family and friends, capturing many special moments as they naturally unfold and more within the forest.

Evening entertainment and tunes provided by the great guy who is DJ Lee 🎧

As always, narrowing the photographs down to just a small selection to share was incredibly difficult with so much happening throughout the entire day.
