Dina & Sam married at the beautiful Kedleston Country House on Saturday, enduring the full force of Storm Amy though it didn’t dampen the spirits one bit! We juggled a few plans around to make sure everyone still made it outside for a later than usual confetti shot and group photo.

From the moment I arrived the bridal prep was full of fun and laughter, and Bonnie the makeup artist was on my wavelength completely (let’s just say there was a little mishap with photos to follow … absolutely hilarious!).
The decor and flowers were incredible with so much detail, thought and planning had gone into every part of the day. A lovely violinist during the ceremony set the tone perfectly and it was great to see back doing his thing and keeping guests fully entertained.

We even managed an epic blue-hour umbrella shot (previous post) under the willow tree, followed by proper sparklers and finishing the night with surprise fireworks 🌧✨🎆

My first visit to Kedleston Country House and what a venue! Absolutely beautiful in every way and the staff were honestly some of the best I’ve come across in my 10 years photographing weddings. Nothing was any trouble, moving furniture around so we can do formals indoors (wow). Huge thanks to the amazing team, you really know how to host events and your hard work shows in every detail 👏 I’d really like to come back and get more pictures outside, despite mainly being indoors there’s some epic pictures from the stormy day. Loads more to follow and be shared.

The 7th wedding I photographed in August will be delivered before the end of this month – Sophie & Chris’ beautiful day at The Walled Gardens in Beeston. And that’s while I’ve also been out photographing properties most days of the week this month + another trip to Cornwall for a wedding! Now that’s what I call super wedding service – if I do say so myself!

Shona & Simon finally tied the knot after being together for an incredible 28 years (ish). I’ve had the pleasure of knowing them for 21 of those, ever since I first met my wife Leanne, Shona being the older Sister.
They chose the beautiful Island Blockhouse in St Ives for their ceremony, a truly iconic coastal location for weddings of up to 25 guests. After what had been a very wet day before and morning, the sun broke through just in time for their special moment but extremely windy though!
Best Man honours went to their son, Callum while their daughter, Keira, proudly took on the role of bridesmaid making the day even more personal and family centred.
The evening celebrations continued at The Loft and I offered to capture some couple photos of my now official sister and brother-in-law along the Coastguards ridge and lower beach. Just a few natural moments, snapped on my iPhone but special memories all the same.

Congratulations to you both and thanks for allowing us to share your day with you all.
