Every Vietnamese mum has cooked this dish hundreds of times - Chicken porridge (cháo gà) - the ultimate comfort food: warm, silky, nutritious, and so easy to eat when you’re under the weather. But honestly? We eat it any time of day because it’s just that good.

Make it vegan or non-vegan, simple or loaded, today I’m making the classic chicken version because my daughter asked (and my husband’s away, so non-vegan option 😂).

If you’ve never tried Vietnamese-style porridge, this is your sign. It tastes like street food in Vietnam… made right here in the UK.

Can you really make tofu from carton soy milk? 👀

I tested 3 litres of cheap supermarket soymilk (no sugar added!), and the result surprised me!

Homemade tofu, firmer, cheaper, and made right in my tiny UK kitchen.
