Let’s a’go! 🍄
(Sorry… I couldn’t help myself 👆🏻… if you know, you know! And if you didn’t know that Super Mario was a plumber, then shame on you!)
Annnyyywaayyy…
I thought it would be a good insight for you guys to see the back end of the design process when I’m ready to hand over a finished project.
This is one of the best parts of any job for us - not only because the client gets to see designs come to life, but it also gives me chance to offer support beyond my services, so that the client continues to benefit from our collaboration, even after we’re long gone!
This is an example of a brand board / brand guidelines document which I created for JF Plumbing and Heating Solutions, and I’d love to hear what you think of it, so feel free to leave me a comment or a ❤️ before you swipe on.

For this one, I wanted to offer some versatility, providing options for the client to use along their business journey. After all, why settle for one logo when you can have the luxury of 3, right?
In all seriousness, this is important because - if you think about it - not all spaces are the same, and being able to utilise your branding to make the most of that space is highly important. Generally speaking, a logo that works as a profile picture might not necessarily lend itself to sitting on the side of a van or on a piece of workwear, so it’s important to have variety - a variety that’s both on-brand and consistent.
A document like this helps a client to understand how to use such branding elements (I.E. highlighting the importance of spacing, consistent typefaces and colour palettes, etc.) so that they have the best chance of keeping their visual identity coherent and uniform.
The new design is available to see in an earlier post, if any of you guys wanted to take a look at it.
And finally, if you made it this far 😅… THANKS FOR READING! I appreciate you.
