The Children and Young People’s Services Awards 2008 – Winner – Children & Young People’s Champion - In recognition for promoting community cohesion, combat racial inequalities and addressing social issues. British Community Honours Award - House of Lords 2010 – In recognition for inspirational role models for British Muslims as part of the mainstream society and to improve social cohesion. Divisional Commander’s Commendation 2010 – For outstanding commitment and dedication towards the improvement of community engagement and contribution to effective policing. Channel S Community Awards 2007 and 2011 – In recognition for Outstanding Services to the Bengali community in UK. Can a country/ nation belongs to one person or one institution?

I was watching recent Bangladesh v Afganistan one day match on Youtube with few young people.
During a break an advert for Bangladesh Tourism Board appeared saying 'visit Sheikh Mujib Bangladesh'. One of the young person asked me 'has Bangladesh changed its name from Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh to Sheikh Mujib Banglades?'

I was lost for answer.

Whilst i have utmost respect for Sheikh Mujib, how on an avert with such tag line can be used.

No country or a nation can belong to a person or an institution.

There has to be a limit for chamcami/ a...e licking.

According to the Internet Watch Foundation and national news reports today, online child s*x abuse is at an all time high.

In Bedfordshire we have a dedicated Cyber Team who work tirelessly to bring offenders like the man below to justice and protect the children in our communities.

Last month, ex-teacher Ian Stockdale from Bedford was jailed for multiple child s*x offences thanks to the work of our Cyber Team.

He was sentenced to four years behind bars and given a life-long s*xual harm prevention order for plotting to commit s*xual offences against a child and for making and possessing indecent images of children.

Our team are amongst the most effective in the country at identifying and arresting those who pose a significant risk to the safety and wellbeing of the children in our communities. The extremely difficult and demanding work they do is imperative in protecting children and putting perpetrators behind bars.

If you are worried about the safety of a child online or have concerns that someone you know may be committing s*xual offences against children or making or distributing explicit materials of children online, please report it to police via 101 or online. In an emergency always call 999.
