Reports are coming in of a police incident at Ribble House this afternoon.
A helicopter was heard overhead at approximately 4:00pm, followed by a police response at the scene.
It’s understood that a man has sadly been found deceased inside a vehicle on one of the upper levels of the staff multi-storey car park. Police and on-site management have confirmed a death, although no further details have been released at this time.
The building, which is a secure government site, remains under police control. As of 8:00pm, three police cars and a van were at the scene, and officers advised that the area would remain locked down overnight. Staff were informed they would not be able to access vehicles until police formally release the site.
No cause of death has yet been confirmed and no identity has been disclosed.
