This is one to come alone to! You'll meet lots of people in the first half of the evening and spend the second half getting to know them better over drinks and merry making.

There's so much jadedness around relationships and dating these days that we can convince ourselves that we are better off on our own.

But are we really or are we just telling ourselves that because it's easier and safer? Is it genuinely what we want/is best for us?

The answer is personal to you, but it's worth digging deep and understanding what is your truth, even if you only feel able to admit it to yourself.

I know the answer for me - being single is a chance to recharge, reflect, focus on myself and establish what I want, and what is important to me, but it's not a state that I want for myself permanently.

One day, I hope to meet the person that is deserving of me and I of them.

Because, sorry Delia, but I don't really believe that one is fun.
