🔔 ANNOUNCEMENT: We’re Changing Our Name!
The Different Dating Company is becoming... HUZZAH! - bringing the joy to singledom 🎉

Why?

Because...
* Not everyone who’s single wants to date (heck, I’m not even sure I do!)
* The concept of “dating” puts unnecessary pressure on what should be a joyous occasion to mix with others in the same boat
* An evening spent making connections, building confidence, and broadening your horizons is time well spent - date or no date

The format of the events hasn’t changed - you can still expect a relaxed but fun evening that maximises interaction with minimum awkwardness.

But unlike The Different Dating Company, HUZZAH will offer age-specific events that are open to all sexualities. It never sat right with me to have limitations around this, so I’m delighted to finally make this shift.

✨ Watch this space — the first HUZZAH events in Macclesfield will be announced very soon!

And remember:
Single life should be - and is - joyful.

Hello to all of The Different Dating Company followers 👋

Over the past 3 months, I’ve:
✨ Created a growing Facebook community (https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedifferentdatingcommunity)
✨ Attracted 251 followers (whoop!)
✨ Built a mailing list of 70 curious singles
✨ Held 2 events, with 64 attendees
… and I’ve met some truly wonderful people along the way.

I’ve received incredibly encouraging feedback, and learnt a lot, both from running the events and from hearing your honest reflections. One thing that’s become increasingly clear to me – we want and need opportunities to connect, especially with those in our own age range, but framing the events as 'dating' puts undue pressure on the attendees and can put some people off attending.

So — I’m pressing pause over the summer to reflect, refine, and reshape what I offer. There’ll be no events in July or August, but I’ll be back in September with a refreshed format, a new look, and a new name for this page. If you're curious to see where this goes, stay tuned and keep following!

💛 In the meantime…
For the summer I’m shifting my focus to helping people maximise their single lives — seeing singledom as a golden opportunity to:
✅ Invest in yourself
✅ Boost your confidence
✅ Build awareness & clarity
✅ …and sort your life out, frankly

This isn’t about being anti-relationship — it’s about getting yourself into the best place for a relationship, when the right one comes along. It’s also about building an audience of like-minded singles who are tired of the digital dating options and want to spark up their real life!

'Modern dating really is ruinous' says Elle magazine. But it doesn't have to be this way.

We have the power to do things differently. We need only the strength to be bold and try something new, and the ability to shift the focus from inward angst to outward curiosity.

The power to create change is truely yours if you want it.

One thing that And Just Like That... gets right about modern life is the decay to our love lives that digital dating has caused
