🧶 The poppy tutorial is now live on YouTube

I’ve just uploaded a step-by-step video showing how to crochet the poppy for the Windsor Community Poppy Project.

This is a small, gentle make, worked in UK terms, and suitable for beginners as well as anyone who would like a quiet, mindful project to return to.

If you’ve been meaning to take part but weren’t sure where to start, this is your moment to begin. One stitch at a time.

If you do make one, I’d really love to see it. Feel free to share your progress or finished poppy in the group.

Join me this Sunday for a gentle and creative needle felting workshop where we’ll make a small handmade decoration from soft wool fibres. This calm, hands-on session is perfect for anyone curious about needle felting or looking to explore a new slow-craft technique in a relaxed and supportive setting.

You’ll learn the basics of needle felting, including shaping wool, building form, and adding simple details, with step-by-step guidance throughout. The mindful, repetitive nature of felting makes this a wonderfully absorbing and rewarding process.

Whether you’re completely new to needle felting or returning to a creative hobby, this workshop is designed to nurture confidence and creativity. You’ll leave with your own felted heart decoration and the skills to continue felting at home.

🧶✨ New Patterns in the Making ✨🧶

I’m quietly working on two new crochet patterns to be released later this year. I’m taking my time with these, working slowly, adjusting, and refining, making sure every stitch is carefully matched to the design it’s meant to create.

For the summer top I’ve developed my own combination of stitches, chosen not just for how they look, but for how beautifully they hold their shape and support the finished piece. It’s a process of patience, testing, and small adjustments and I’m really loving where it’s going.

Using cotton yarn for the top and Zauberball sock yarn for the scarf.

More to share soon. Until then, it’s back to the stitches.
