𓂃🖊 Cover Reveal 𓂃🖊

The third Frank, Arnie and Badger murder mystery has been written and edited and illustrations began this week! They usually take around a month to complete and then the book must be formatted before it's ready for release. But based on this, I hope to have the book out sometime in March. I did hope to have it out earlier, however, for various reasons it's taken longer than anticipated. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait!

This story takes place during the boys' final few weeks at Northwell Primary School and my editor was sad that this would conclude the series. But it won't! Work has already begun on the fourth book which is set during the summer holidays! The feedback I've had from these stories keeps me motivated and I really do feel like Frank, Arnie and Badger have many more mysteries in them!

🎯This month, I officially reached 500 copies sold overall on Amazon!

500 copies might not sound a lot but considering I orginally wrote In for a Penny to encourage a class of 25 children, it's way more than I could have imagined back then!

Here are some other updates I wanted to share:
- Teacher Heroes has sadly been delayed due to formatting issues out of my control. I'm still waiting for the illustrators to fix some minor issues rather than rushing the book out quickly before Christmas. I'm hoping to have it out in January.
- There will be a cover reveal for the third Frank, Arnie and Badger book dropping soon and an update on it's progress and release date.
- I will also be posting a very honest and open statement regarding the Classroom Misfits books in the coming weeks about some improvements I've tried to make to the series and future release information.

‎✍✍New Book Announcement✍✍

🦸🏻‍♂️Teacher Heroes🦸🏻‍♂️ (Out November/December!)

In the summer of 2023, I started work on a completely different style of book to what I usually write aimed at children who really don't like to read much at all. Now, over a year later, despite numerous setbacks and even times when I never thought it would be finished, here we are!

Chapter books are great, especially murder mysteries with pictures, but even those stories can be quite overwhelming for some children. That's where my idea for Teacher Heroes was born.

The book itself is a collection of 32 superhero teachers, each with their own unique powers, who work at Power Primary Academy. (A PPA acronym for all you educators.) There's a teacher whose powers of healing come in extra handy during playground grazes and bruises. Another, whose teleportation allows the pupils to experience the best school trips of all time! Then there's the teachers with not so useful powers. Like Mr Poles and his unhelpful magnetism or Mr Boltman and his haphazard zaps of electricity. It's all a bit daft really but that's what kids like I guess!

My aim is always to encourage reluctant readers and this book has been created with reluctant readers at the very heart of it. It's set out like a factfile, meaning children can flick to a random page of their choice. There's no chapters so kids can read as little or as much as they like and it's got illustrations on every other page to keep them engaged. There's even a spot the difference page at the back.

Look out for Teacher Heroes in the next month or so!

I will be appearing at Maidstone’s Literary Festival for the second year running this Sunday from 10am at Lockmeadow, Maidstone! Come and say hello if you fancy it!

Unfortunately, I won’t be doing a reading this time around as there are lots of other activities taking place instead!

Thanks Bearsted Library for inviting me along today. Despite the small turnout, I enjoyed sharing my journey so far with those who came along!

I also found out today (from the librarian) that all 10 copies of my books at Allington library are currently taken out with some people on a waiting list for them! Because of this, I’ve donated 6 more copies to Bearsted library which should be in circulation soon!

The support for the books continues to amaze me and I’m so humbled by it!

Had a great morning at Allington Library today discussing all things books and writing. Thanks to those who came along - everyone was so polite and enthusiastic! Well done to the ones who scored full marks in the quizzes!

I look forward to visiting again in the future since the library have already invited me to come back!

I'll be at Allington Library this Wednesday doing a talk, a reading and a couple of quizzes. Should be fun!
