Today, on VJ Day, we remember the moment the Second World War finally came to an end.

For many, it marked the return of loved ones. For others, it was a day tinged with sorrow, as the sacrifices of those who never came home weighed heavily.

VJ Day is not just a chapter in history – it’s a reminder of the resilience, courage, and unity of a generation that endured unimaginable hardship. It’s also a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy today, bought at such a high cost.

Let’s take time to remember them – the soldiers, the civilians, the prisoners of war – and to ensure their legacy of peace is never forgotten.

I recently had the opportunity to film at the iconic Blackpool Pier for an upcoming TV show — and what a backdrop it was!

With the drone in the air, we captured sweeping aerial shots of the pier, the coastline, and all the character that makes Blackpool such a recognisable part of British seaside culture. It’s always a privilege to contribute to a production that showcases these historic locations from a fresh perspective.

Just got back from volunteering at The Big Cat Sanctuary for their 25th anniversary open day and wow, what an experience! 🐾🦁🎉

It was an absolute privilege to help out and be part of such a special milestone. From meeting some incredible people to seeing these amazing animals up close, it’s a day I won’t forget anytime soon.

The love, care, and passion that goes into looking after the big cats is next level—25years of dedication and still going strong!

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering or visiting, I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll leave with muddy shoes, a full heart, and a massive respect for the work they do. 💚
