Girl boss mode..

This weekend I felt like an absolute girl boss and I loved it 🎧🩷

From DJing the ‘Women’s Only Day’ & being surrounded by the most supportive women 💪🏼

To then go and DJ an awards night🏆 - All whilst holding it down and keeping running smoothly while the boss was away.

The grind was real.. but I’m so here for it! 🩷🎧

One of the things I’m asked as a DJ is what music do I play?

The answer is always.. Whatever is right for your event and the crowd at the event 🎧

As an open-format DJ, I can play absolutely everything from 80’s/90’s to more commercial pop/dance and everything in between.
I enjoy switching it up and playing different genres and decades..that’s what makes my job so fun 🪩

A year ago today I played my first ever live set 🎧🥹

With the guidance of who’s been there since day 1 and taught me the ins and outs of event life (grateful for you 🫶🏼) It’s mad to think It’s been a year since DJ Tanya Foy officially launched.

Super grateful for every opportunity big or small I’ve been given this past year, events I’ve played for and the people who have supported and given me work..

Although these jobs pretty much go hand in hand, I sometimes feel like I’m living a double life.

One moment I’m on stage dancing or teaching in a studio all day/night and the next I’m up late behind the DJ booth making sure the dance floor is full and everyone is having a good time 🪩

Finding the balance to fit everything in that comes with both of these jobs and being your own business is hard but I LOVE It!

Not everyone gets the opportunity to do what they love for work and for that I’m super grateful🎧💃🏻
