"The words we write are one of the most important ways of showing people what we stand for." I love this. It's taken from the Monzo Tone of Voice document.

Even in these fairly mad times, it is this idea that continues to drive our work in 2021.

Telling stories that make a difference in the world is what makes me get out of bed in the morning.

It's been six years since I started Narrative Matters.

I'm sure you're the same; there's precious little time to stop and reflect on what you've achieved.

I spent the weekend doing exactly that. Taking stock. Not necessarily to look back too much. But to understand what happens next. And what role I can play in helping my customers tackle the post-pandemic world (whenever that might actually be).

Then, I put together the Narrative Matters Playbook 2021. It's a short document that explains the who, what, how – and crucially – why of Narrative Matters.

I've also included the 6 rules we stick to in all of our work – our guiding principles, if you like.
