CRY ALOUD AGAINST OTHER GODS
Hello, dear intercessors and welcome to another time to raise our voices together to pray for our nations. God will reward your faithfulness. Amen.
Today we will be praying against other gods. These are the idols or mind-sets that have taken over the place for God in our lives as Nations. It could be self-sufficiency or lack, the Love of money or the wanton desire for it, religion, football, worry or relying on our own strength. The list is endless. Once Jesus has been relegated in our lives and some other entity is sitting on the throne of our hearts, it has become an idol and a snare.
On Mount Carmel in the book of kings, Elijah summoned and addressed the prophets of Baal. He said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him!” After the contest, only the true God was left standing while the god who could not defend itself never mind its devotees, had crumbled in defeat like Dagon in 1 Samuel 5. Let the true God be God over our lives and nations. Amen!
Please read 1 Kings 18 & 1 Samuel 5
1. Pray that as a nation we will repent of the sin of relying on other gods and the arm of flesh.
2. Ask that Jesus will take his rightful place in His church and in the nation.
3. Declare that power will return to the church once again.
4. Pray that there will be a big demarcation between those who serve him and those who serve him not.
5. Prophesy over the hearts of men. Pray that God will turn the hearts whichever way he pleases.
6. Proclaim that our Nations shall be blessed as we make the Lord our God once again.
7. Reclaim back every heart that has been stolen and taken over by illegal occupants. Declare Jesus, Lord.
8. Use UK as a point of contact to every other nation; for the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Amen!
