Lighting is a key for every business shooting.
Whether you're showcasing a product, recording an interview, or creating a corporate message, the right lighting setup can make all the difference.
Here’s my approach:
1. Key Light: The Foundation
Your key light is your main source of illumination. Position it at a 45-degree angle to your subject’s face to create a balanced and flattering light. A softbox or LED panel works best for this.
2. Fill Light: Softening Shadows
To avoid harsh shadows, place a fill light opposite the key light. The fill should be less intense, just enough to soften shadows without overpowering the key light.
3. Back Light: Adding Depth
A backlight, or hair light, placed behind your subject can create a nice rim of light, separating them from the background.
4. Practical Lights: Setting the Scene
Practical lights are actual light sources within your video frame—think table lamps, computer screens, or even sunlight streaming through a window.
