Whoever believes that the abductions and illegal arrests of our comrades are a result of that February 'parade' maybe you’re not a Ugandan and you don’t know exactly what has been happening in Uganda for over decades. For decades, the NRM regime in Uganda has continued their patterns of violence by abdicating , torturing, killing, r**e, illegal detentions etcs…of opposition figures and their supporters on charges including treason, sedition, and inciting violence, always all they’re trumped-up or used to stifle dissent and undermine elections. These actions are part of a broader pattern of repression, including the suppression of civil society, and the use of state security forces and even unofficial "crime preventers" to intimidate and control the population.
For the record, the National Unity Platform spokesperson “Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro never stepped at Kavule on 12th February. He was at the hospital with his wife. He was never at any gathering at Kavule. But the criminal regime now charges him with "unlawful drilling on 12th February at Kavule". Let Kulayigye and his ilk produce any picture or video of Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro at that event (which was not illegal, in any case).
The criminals are simply looking for any excuse to clamp down, and all logical people must see it for what it is.
