3 things I’m doing now to make September feel a little less chaotic:

Day 1 of making this old house 1% better on a budget

I’m 40 soon and after 4 kids and the most horrendous emergency C-section, which I am still not recovered for even four years on I have decided to give a reformer Pilates ago because apparently it is the best for your core. But I’m on a shoestring budget so I’ve gone for an at home board over classes every week.

Now, I have had two years of physio for my diastasis recti and I am still getting problems with my back shoulders and even my knee because of it. It turns out the NHS can’t just fix the stomach muscles inside you have to have a full tummy tuck. So while I’m waiting to see whether I can get that done privately, I’m trying to make my core as strong as possible so I can recover from the surgery.

How bonkers is it that after three children I was able to get my stomach muscles into a functioning way but one emergency C-section has literally wrecked my body and I understand that it’s a cosmetic procedure but why on earth the NHS can’t just sew the muscles back together because they’ve been cut open is beyond me. Anyway, rant over, I could talk about this for ages because I feel like this should be a female care priority…. imagine if we could get the healthcare after babies that we deserve? Hmmm that would be wonderful 🤣👌🏻

I have literally unboxed this today and I did a few sessions on it and it is goooood. Mike has had a go on it and even said that he didn’t even realise he had muscles in the places that it was working 🤣 I’ve linked it in my stories, it’s on sale at the moment so you can literally get it for the price of one Pilates class, hide it under the couch and drag it out when you need it.

Nothing is simple 😭
You’ll have noticed that I haven’t been as present on Instagram recently, which is a double edged sword because then you get punished by Instagram for not being so active but I also need to stay active to provide for my family. But then I want to spend time with my family because that was the whole point of leaving the NHS 9 years ago to create content and essentially be able to provide for my family and still be at home 🤣

So here I am saying hello… we haven’t disappeared but things have been absolutely wild and with will relapsing again we’ve had to make sure we are looking after him and making the other kids lives as normal as possible. Within all of this, we obviously still have to work 🤣 and so if you do see ads pop-up with us in them, do you give me a comment or like ❤️ even if you don’t like ad’s necessarily, your engagement helps us provide for our family 🫶🏼

I would say that normal service would resume however life has taught me that is unbelievably unpredictable and therefore the “not so normal service” will resume 🤣

Just to give me some inspiration, what do you like to see from me on here or is there anything that you don’t see from me and would like to see more of?

When I first started, we would do loads of stuff around food and allergy stuff and over the years that has evolved to fashion, family days out, couple humour, adventure and obviously medical Mum stuff. So it would do me a massive favour if you could let me know below and thanks guys for supporting us and sticking around for so long 🫶🏼✨❤️
