Our Story...

During April 2020, Sanny Rudravajhala decided to use his Easter holidays to set up a pop-up isolation radio station whilst we were all in lockdown.

Fast forward 15 shows in 15 days and together with his wife, Katie, and guest appearances from their 16-month-old son Byron, Radio Northenden was born. The station featured guests from everywhere - poets, community projects, politicians, pubs and even Jimi Goodwin of the band, Doves. The station had brought in diverse voices to enrich its listeners and highlighted the brilliant work going on in our community.

Radio Northenden has returned and with new presenters it is ready to enlighten, enrich and entertain the people of Northenden and beyond.

So, join Sanny, Katie, Kev, Emma, Dan and Alex on Radio Northenden - a community worth shouting about.
