Last Thursday, Badger & Combes co-founders Colin and Evonne attended the Gala Dinner, joined by Badgers Katie and Tyler, who provided media support for the event.

We were honoured to capture photos and videos to showcase the incredible work the charity does to combat homelessness in Greater Manchester, as well as provide technical support. As proud supporters of the charity, we’re delighted to have played a part in helping them raise an incredible £40,000 on the night.

This week, the Badgers attended the Women in Sports Event hosted at in , where we collaborated together to create a highlights package.

It was a brilliant event, bringing together women at all stages of their careers to share their journeys and offer valuable insights to those looking to progress in the industry.

Events like these reinforce our commitment to nurturing future talent through our Talent Pathway Scheme, which provides hands-on experience to the next generation of media professionals. We’re proud to play a part in shaping the future of sports broadcasting!

The Badgers are on tour with LancsTV!

Badgers Katie and Colin travelled to India last week, and Dubai this week, with and for the pre-season tour. Whilst the rest of the Badgers stayed back at our home in .

During the tour, we’re broadcasting five matches using the Pro460 and Air320, ensuring seamless live coverage from across the globe.

hosted their SRT Alliance Roadshow alongside Badger & Combes at yesterday.

During the event, they were able to showcase their incredible kit, including the Air320, Air380, Pro460, Makito X4, and innovative MoJoPro app, that makes the industry more accessible than ever.

Our MD also shared insights with attendees on how the Haivision kit has transformed our workflow—enabling us to streamline equipment and crew for long-distance broadcasts, making our operations more sustainable and cost-effective for clients. Looking ahead, the Badgers are set to travel to India and Dubai for Lancashire Cricket’s Pre-Season tour, utilising the Air320 and Pro460. Colin provided a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re bringing this project to life.

On Thursday, we welcomed teachers from Greater Manchester Colleges to The Sett in MediaCityUK for an exclusive look at our remote broadcast setup.

Throughout the day, we hosted insightful talks covering a range of topics, including cameras, engineering, and our talent pathway programme.

Attendees got hands-on experience with our cutting-edge Evs Broadcastsetup and explored our Haivision technology, including the Air320, Air380 and Pro460. Our broadcast engineer, Josh, also introduced teachers to the accessibility of modern broadcast technology, showcasing the latest Haivision innovations and a student-friendly app, called MoJoPro, that makes the industry more accessible than ever.

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of broadcasting live boxing action straight to VIP Boxing Promotions's platforms. A thrilling night of fights, captured and delivered to fans in real-time!

Utilising our Haivision Remote IP Technology, we only had minimal staff on location, while the rest stayed back at our MCR in MediaCityUK where they overlaid EVS replays and graphics.

During the night, the team experienced a power cut! But due to the team's great planning, the stream was unaffected!

On Saturday, the Badgers were on location in Leicester, working with the England and Wales Cricket Board to film the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Final. However, in typical English fashion, the weather had other plans, and the final was rained off. Congratulations to the Sunrisers on their win! 🏏

It did mark the end of our cricket season—a journey filled with unforgettable moments, new experiences, and great teamwork both on and off the pitch. Stay tuned for a season recap, and some exciting highlights we captured throughout the summer with Lancashire Cricket. More to come…
