A few years ago, I was living in a cycle of anxiety and panic attacks, feeling completely lost and exhausted. No matter how hard I tried to push through, things never got easier.

I didn’t realize my nervous system was dysregulated, making me feel on edge and unable to enjoy life. I thought the key to feeling better was to work harder, but that only made things worse.

The moment I learned that healing required listening to my body, everything changed. I discovered how to show my nervous system that I was safe and learned to regulate it step by step.

Now, I wake up looking forward to the day, feeling present and in control. I’ve created boundaries and prioritise self-care without guilt. Life is no longer a series of stress-induced reactions; it’s fluid, calm, and fulfilling.

If you’ve ever felt trapped by anxiety or panic, this is for you…

For a long time I lived with both - in a constant state of fight or flight - racing thoughts, sleepless nights, always ‘on edge’ waiting for something terrible to happen and a body that felt all of those sensations. Deeply.

I thought it was just who I was, that this was how my life was. But it wasn’t - it was the ‘state’ of my nervous system creating it all.

Anxiety and panic don’t just happen for ‘no reason’, and they certainly aren’t because you are doing something wrong. They’re your body’s way of trying to protect you. When your nervous system perceives danger, whether it’s real or not, it flips into survival mode.

Your heart might race, your breathing changes, and your thoughts spiral as your body tries to prepare you to fight, run, or freeze. This is your nervous system doing its job right! It’s just stuck in a miscommunication loop creating a perpetual, scary cycle. 

What the majority of people don’t realise is this ↓

80% of the communication between your brain and body flows UP from your body to your brain. And only 20% from brain to body.
