🚨 NEW RELEASE: A LAND OF PROMISE (for Brass Band) 🎺

Composed for Foden's Band at the 2025 Brass in Concert Championships, this expressive feature for Cornet, Tenor Horn, Baritone and Euphonium was used to portray the movement of the Israelites into the promised land, with the quartet solemnly moving across the stage.

The expressive core of the piece is a setting of the spiritual Steal Away, which builds in intensity to a glorious climax before fading away into a reprise of the quartet.

🚨 NEW RELEASE: THE WRATH OF THE PLAGUES (for Euphonium and Brass Band) 🎺

'The Wrath of the Plagues' is a Euphonium solo composed for Gary Curtin and the Foden's Band for the 2025 Brass in Concert Championships, which was awarded the prize for the Best Soloist on the day.

In 3 clear through-composed sections, the work portrays each of the 10 plagues imposed on the Egyptian people by God, starting with the River Nile turning to blood, frogs swarming the land (complete with anitphonal frog guiros!) through to darkness, disease and death.

🎅🏻 CHRISTMAS 2025 - YE JOYOUS BELLS IN HEAVEN (for Brass Band) 🎺

DIFFICULTY: 4th+

'Ye Joyous Bells in Heaven' was composed for the Thurlstone Brass Band near Sheffield in memory of their band's stalwart John Wilmot. The Sheffield area is synonymous for it's local musical culture and melodies, and one of these - Stannington, was a particular favourite of John's. This short and bustling concert work is a joyous fantasy on the melody, with short solo features for a number of players within the band.

🎅🏻 CHRISTMAS 2025 - THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE (for Brass Band) 🎺

DIFFICULTY: 2nd Section+
'The Christmas Truce' was composed in 2018 for the Strata Brass Band and was used as part of their Christmas programme to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. On the 24th December 1914, just a few weeks after war broke out, one of the most notable events of the 4-year conflict took place on the front line as the guns from both sides fell silent and soldiers came together on Christmas Eve.

This composition for brass band and narrator tells the story of that night, painting a musical picture of the events as they unfolded. Using material from the carols 'In The Bleak Midwinter', 'O Tannenbaum' and 'Silent Night', the music weaves it's way around the events leading upto, during, and directly following the Christmas Truce, before culminating in a grand finale which incorporates the famous "the souls of the righteous are in the hands of God" quote from Eric Ball's 'Resurgam'.
