We are Manchester's biggest student station, exclusively by students for the students of the university. ⭐️ Shock Radio and Moore Student Radio raised £2,488 for Movember! 🌟

On Friday, three students from each station took on the ultimate challenge - Moore Than A Marathon, walking from the UoS Student Union to the LJM Student Union!

Benny, Josh and Dan from Shock joined up with Jack, Harley and Joshua from Moore, and set off on the gruelling journey in the name of raising money and awareness for men’s mental health, testicular cancer and prostate cancer.

Over 35 miles, 77,000 steps and plenty of protein bars later, the team arrived at LJM to a huge crowd of support. Throughout the day, both student stations provided hourly updates, with a special drivetime collab at the Moore Student Radio studios.

Arriving at around 11:30pm, after setting off at 9 that morning, the team were still in high spirits and were welcomed with thunderous applause!

Huge congratulations to all the walkers - they pushed through wind, ice and the bitter cold and raised an enormous amount for charity. Thank you to everyone involved, from inside the radio studios to those en route.

Shock Radio & TV won three big awards at the yesterday!

Shock Radio won 'STATION OF THE YEAR' - a huge accolade.

won "Best Content/Programme Director" for his work as Shock's Network Manager last year.

And continued Shock's 3 year winning streak in the 'Best On Air Team' category.

🏅 SHOCK WINS AT THE SRA AWARDS! 💛

We’re delighted to announce that Shock won 6 awards last night at the 30th Student Radio Association Awards! 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze were taken home to Salford. ⭐️

We are enormously proud of everybody involved! It was a fantastic night and we can’t wait to do it all again next year. 🥇

2024/2025 ✅

Shock's most successful year on record (we think) has come to an end - so we thought we'd look back on the last 12 months.

With 32 Outside Broadcasts across the year, and a rebrand of both networks we have made ourselves known across campus.

It's finally here! Varsity is back as go head to head with .

We will be streaming more games live than ever before.

Shock Radio kicks off the day with Varsity Breakfast - a lookahead to the day. Shock's main coverage kicks off at 11am with and .nelsonx at the helm.

Shock Sport, our pop up radio station, is the home of Varsity Extra throughout the day. All games streamed here will also be uploaded to Shock TV.

Quays TV will have Varsity Updates thoughout the day and will also bring you live coverage of the Women's Volleyball.

🏕️ CHARITY CAMPSITE 2025 🏕️

What an amazing 24 hours in aid of Salford - with our highest ever total for a campsite fundraiser.

We had a Dance-a-thon, a Race Across Manchester, as PitBull - what more could you want!

Mind in Salford does some great work in our local community and we are so glad we have been able to help them.
