Sensory deprivation is a process originally developed as a legal substitute for L*D. Today it is used for therapeutic, medical, and recreational purposes. When in a flotation tank, stripped of sight,
sound, and feeling, the mind takes control of all senses, for an often-psychedelic experience. In this transparent society, full of visual stimulation, there is high demand for an opportunity
to ‘switch off’. This film documents the weird and wonderful experiences of a handful of users, with a combination of animation and surreal imagery to visually represent their stories.

People talk of the intensity of the sound of prison.

15:10 Fighting Spirit by Hans Offringa and Denise Kwant

Fighting Spirit tells the story of 22-year-old Mike Lingen who was in the top 10 of the world in jiu-jitsu and was going to graduate from the sports academy. His life changed when he ended up in a coma after a serious accident. It was feared that if Mike woke up, he might never be able to function normally again.

Miraculously, he woke up and surprises the people around him with the big steps he made. Despite Mike's eternal optimism, his recovery is not easy. Because of his brain damage and other physical injuries, he will have to accept that he is no longer the same.

The Shetland Bus Operation was a wartime resistance movement set up by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s secret organisation, the Special Operations Executive. The operation aimed to work behind enemy lines with the resistance groups, by not only providing a regular transport system between Shetland and Norway, but also an escape life-line for refugees and fugitives.

The concept with The Shetland Bus Documentary is to reveal how this dangerous operation was undertaken and what its significance was to World War Two.

As AIDS ravaged San Francisco, a gay and le***an comedy club flourished in, of all places, an old mortuary.

November 13, 1961;
The ship draws nearer, and those on board can see a man and something else, something they can't quite make out, in the life raft.

The man calls out "My name is Julian Harvey. I am master of the ketch Bluebelle. I have a dead baby here! I think her name is Terry Jo Duperrault."

This is the first inkling the the world will have of the fate of the Bluebelle and the disappearance of five members of the Dupperault family. What transpires is nothing short of remarkable.
