Tommy Shelby returns to our screens in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, and Space Studios were delighted to be involved in supporting this production.

We provided a range of spaces for the production team, including;
- Unit base parking
- Costume department storage rooms
- Art department production offices
- Hair and make-up
- Dressing rooms across the site

One of the most anticipated films of the year is finally here! 🎬

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man continues the story of elusive gangster Tommy Shelby in a show stopping final chapter.

The Immortal Man was with Space Studios Manchester from beginning September to end of December 2024, providing a unit base parking and hosting their costume department, as well as hosting art department production offices and the production team using hair and make -up plus dressing rooms across the site.

Greater Manchester has unveiled a £10.5m Screen Production Fund to back film and TV projects across the region, as part of a major expansion of its flagship Good Growth Fund alongside a high-profile bid to host the 2035 Ryder Cup.

Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: “The success of the BRIT Awards in Manchester shows that we can we attract and deliver international events to a brilliant standard. Culture and sport will be major drivers of our good growth, and that’s why we’re bidding to host the biggest ever Ryder Cup in Bolton in 2035.”

Millions of pounds are set to flow into Greater Manchester, funding new homes, roads, and jobs that will transform the region and the way people live and work.

The next wave of investment to boost the city-region’s economy has been unveiled, with more than £420m set to benefit Greater Manchester’s 10 boroughs.

Civic leaders are celebrating multi-million pound commitments to build hundreds of new homes, state-of-the-art sports centres, new roads, a new tram stop - and the 'rebirth' of Stretford town centre.

The announcements include £314m of transport investment and £85m for new housing schemes.

Highlights announced include £35m for 248 new homes in Prestwich, Bury; the backing of a sporting masterplan around Boundary Park in Oldham, including a world-class new netball and basketball centre; £69.8m to launch the first phase of a crucial link road in Bolton; a new Wigan-Hindley link road and a relief road for New Carrington in Trafford.

Greater Manchester will also be launching a new 'Screen Production Fund', with an initial £10.5m set aside to back film and TV projects. It aims to create financial incentives to make film and TV here.

Small Prophets, a brand-new BBC comedy written, directed by and starring Mackenzie Crook, is releasing very soon! The six-part series follows Pearce Quigley's character Michael Sleep, an eccentric widower who works in a DIY store.

Space Studios Manchester was delighted the production team filmed on site and had a unit base plus supporting offices with us, helping them bring this amazing comedy to life.

Crook said in a statement: "Like all my best ideas, this one has been percolating for nearly a decade and is finally ready to see the light of day."

Jon Petrie, BBC Director of Comedy, said: "BBC Two viewers are in for a treat with BAFTA winner Mackenzie Crook’s Small Prophets. It’s British comedy at its finest."

Small Prophets will start airing on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer from 9th February

The acclaimed BBC comedy-thriller Black Ops, co-produced with Mondo Deluxe, is back! BAFTA winner Gbemisola Ikumelo returns as Dom, alongside Hammed Animashaun as Kay, as they start new roles at MI5.

We're thrilled to have hosted supporting spaces and unit base here at Space Studios Manchester for them as they filmed primarily in Manchester and Wigan.

Stephen Knight’s 8-part drama, House of Guinness, produced by Kudos Knight for Netflix, and launched on 25th September 2025 was hosted by Space Studios Manchester over 35 weeks, from May 2024 to January 2025.

Stages 1 and 4 at SPACE STUDIOS hosted a range of sets including the ballroom, the docks office and the boarding house whilst the cast and crew also used dressing rooms, unit bases, workshops and production offices.

AMC’s TALAMASCA: THE SECRET ORDER launched 26th October and currently streaming on Netflix, was filmed over 27 weeks at Space Studios Manchester from mid 2023 until early 2025 🎬

Filming took place on Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 and the backlot at Space was used for a custom set build. The sets created include Cupids Arrow Strip Club, Catacombs, interior and exterior apartment. Multiple support spaces were utilised across the site, as well as production offices, workshops, props stores and unit bases.

A Gentleman in Moscow, which is available on Paramount+, filmed with us during 2023/24. The series see Ewan McGregor star as Count Alexander Rostov, a Russian aristocrat, spared from death and placed under house arrest while the Bolshevik Revolution plays out before him.

Space 06 was used for the creation of the opulent set for the Metropol Hotel and Space 01 saw the creation of the Rostov’s tiny attic apartment where he’s forced to live, while our backlot was used for the roof of the Metropol Hotel.

Space Studios provided the production base for season 6, as well as the unit base & Manchester office base for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man during filming. From the gritty underground meeting spots to the lavish interiors of Tommy Shelby’s business empire, the studio played a crucial role in bringing the world of Peaky Blinders to life.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premieres March 6th in select cinemas and March 20th 2026 on Netflix.
