Gondwana Records is a Manchester-based independent record label drawing on global inspirations.

Founded by Matthew Halsall in 2008, Gondwana Records has gone on to release music by Allysha Joy, Caoilfhionn Rose, Chip Wickham, Dwight Trible, Forgiveness, GoGo Penguin, Hania Rani, Jasmine Myra, John Ellis, Mammal Hands, Halsall, Nat Birchall, Noya Rao, Paradise Cinema, Phil France, Phi-Psonics, Portico Quartet, STUFF., Sunda Arc, Svaneborg Kardyb and Vega Trails.

It’s Always About Liberation, our new album, is out today!

To everyone involved in the making of this record - the band, the choir of friends, the whole team at Gondwana Records, Tom Orrell and the team at The Nave Studios, the behind the scenes support from partners friends and family - we can’t thank you all enough.

For a record to finally cross the line and be out for all to hear is always a celebratory moment to be reminded of all of what goes into just 40 minutes of sound. My words always fall short - but the love you have all put into this record is there in the sound, I can feel it - and it really means so much to us all. Gratitude for sound itself, as one of the many vessels that can carry that human spirit and bring us all a little closer to one another through listening and connecting. To everyone who has been checking out our music, coming to gigs, buying records, sharing the music with their friends, playing us on the radio stations or writing about us etc, we thank you, we wish you the utmost best and we hope to see you on the road soon.
