“I didn’t want you to contact my manager. I just needed to know what I could do.”

That’s what our client said when they joined Work Well. They’d been bullied at work for nearly 8 months, and felt completely stuck.

Together, we explored what bullying really looks like, the legal protections in place, and what their workplace should be doing. We walked through internal policies, drafted a plan, and supported them through the grievance process — right through to their phased return.

They now feel settled in a new department and said they were just glad it was “finally over”.

“It was hard managing everything — especially when I couldn’t speak the language.”

This client was juggling long-term knee pain, financial pressure, and family care — all while living in a cramped room she shared with her grandson.

She came to Work Well unsure where to turn, but she stayed engaged, open, and determined. We supported her in securing a new home, finding affordable furniture, managing her bills, and navigating treatment for her knee pain, including a physio referral and funded chiropractor sessions.

“I feel emotionally lighter now. I finally have my own space, and someone I could talk to along the way.”

As a CLW, you’ll be the friendly face of the service — building trust in the community, attending local events, working closely with GPs, mosques and other partners, and helping people understand how Work Well can support them to stay in or return to work. It’s a hands-on role that combines outreach, relationship building, and practical referral support.
