We are a non profit organisation working predominately but not exclusively with young people, using drama and creative expression to explore issues that affect them in today’s society.

Forgotten Soldiers honours the contributions of Muslim and South Asian soldiers who served in the British Indian Army during WWI and WWII.

This heritage project uses educational workshops, exhibitions, storytelling films, trips to heritage sites, and community Remembrance events to celebrate and preserve this important history.

Designed for schools, youth groups, and community organisations, Forgotten Soldiers offers an engaging way to explore shared British history and the rich heritage of Muslim communities in the UK.

In 2024, we were thrilled to embark on a journey with young Pakistani girls in Oldham through our Rising Stars project, a creative arts programme designed to empower, inspire, and connect. ✨

Led by experienced facilitators, participants explored poetry, spoken word, and mixed-media crafts, building confidence and making their voices heard on matters that matter to them.

The project also helped forge friendships and celebrate heritage through the exploration of culture, creativity, and self-expression.

to Be Who You Want To Be, an Arts Award-accredited course giving young people a safe and creative space to explore their passions, build skills, and identify pathways to education, training, or employment.

Participants gained confidence, expressed themselves through media, theatre, and other art forms, and worked towards nationally recognised Level 1 or 2 Bronze and Silver Arts Awards.

Through the programme, participants wrote, filmed, and directed their own creative projects, developed showreels, and discovered their potential as emerging artists and leaders.

In Search of Rumi is a multimedia heritage project exploring the life, legacy, and enduring influence of Jalaluddin Muhammad Rumi on global culture.

It seeks to reclaim Rumi as a profound Muslim scholar, whose heritage has often been lost in translation amid his global popularity.

Through a virtual exhibition, documentary film, podcast series, children’s book, and community workshops, the project celebrates heritage, identity, and spirituality through the arts.

For the occasion, we had the honour of first meeting petersandersphotos, who shared how Rumi has influenced his photography practice as part of our documentary.

Our team provides a supportive, person-centred approach to help you understand your entitlements and access the support you need.

Services include assistance with Universal Credit applications, benefit entitlement checks, wider welfare advice, and advocacy or signposting to further services.

Every journey starts with a free initial consultation, where we listen, understand your situation, and outline how we can best support you.

The Youth Empowerment Programme is a transformative initiative for young people from racially minoritised and disadvantaged backgrounds, offering creative pathways to explore identity, community, and personal growth.

Across 2025, participants engaged in sessions on storytelling, choices and consequences, conflict resolution, community impact, rewriting the narrative, and celebration & reflection, using creativity to build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.

The programme is designed for youth at risk of offending or disengagement from education, providing a safe, empowering space for self-expression, learning, and positive pathways.

We’re excited to be launching our free, ladies-only badminton club!

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to get back into sport, this is your chance to stay active, meet new people, and build confidence through play.

Sessions will be led by a certified coach, with all equipment provided – just bring yourself, your friends, and a willingness to try something new.

Muslim Artists Academy is an incubator programme for Muslim creatives seeking to create, grow their practice, and express themselves without compromising their values.

After a break for Ramadan, workshops are starting back soon across a variety of creative strands, including theatre, calligraphy, visual arts, poetry, and literature & zines.

Participants benefit from creative workshops with professionals, mentoring, cultural trips, and the chance to showcase their work.

Our mission is to empower Muslim creatives through faith-aligned artistic development, providing a safe, spiritually grounded space to explore creativity and build skills.

We’re proud to continue rolling out Work Ready in partnership with British Pakistan Foundation!

The programme supports South Asian women of Pakistani heritage in Cheetham Hill and surrounding areas to build confidence, develop employability skills, and explore pathways into volunteering, training, or work.

From confidence-building and CV support to digital skills, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette, sessions are culturally sensitive, person-centred, and supportive.

Participants receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the programme.

We recognise that barriers to work are multiple and complex. Work Ready is a key part of our Economic Activity Trailblazer, a three-pronged approach designed to provide holistic, long-term support.
