That was a week that was. Two dramas and an independent feature locked and loaded out of Glasgow. Thankyou to all of the and crew involved for making a very hectic week run that little bit smoother. Not sure what we imagined the future would look like when we opened our office in Scotland 5 years ago but can’t quite believe this is where we are now. We love what we do, love the people we work with that make it so and love that we do it across the north of England and Scotland. Onwards!!

Last week I had the opportunity to finally direct a narrative project in my hometown! Something I’ve aspired to do since I started working in the industry. Every geordie I’d ever meet on set, we’d always say
‘Wouldn’t it be class to make something back home!’ 🏠 Well we only went and bloody did it!

🚨 New Full-frame Anamorphic Alert 🚨

Give a warm No Drama welcome to the lovely full-frame Xelmus Apollo Anamorphic lenses. They come as a set of 32, 40, 50, 60, 75, 100 & 135mm, utilised with a x2 de-squeeze. Sensor coverage is well beyond Super-35 and, at the long end, up to full LF open-gate.

This is a compact & sharp set of primes optimised for distortion correction, with beautiful controlled flare and tons of character.

Thanks to the newly available astigmatiser design only previously available in Panavision Anamorphic lenses, these lenses are considerably more compact than most anamorphic lenses whilst also offering remarkable close focus. They boast considerably improved breathing & ‘bumps’ performance and they’re nice & fast, starting at T1.7 and topping out at T2.8.
