1️⃣ Long before becoming a global trance icon, Ferry Corsten was a teenager with a passion for music. After buying his first keyboard with money earned from washing cars and selling mixtapes, he released his first record at just 16 and began producing throughout the early ‘90s.
2️⃣ In 1996, Ferry reached the UK Singles Chart with Moonman’s Don’t Be Afraid, marking his first major international success. It was the moment that introduced his signature sound to dance floors across Europe.
3️⃣ Ferry co-founded Tsunami Records, helping shape the future of trance while launching a string of influential projects, including System F, Gouryella and Veracocha. These releases would go on to define an era of electronic music.
4️⃣ Released in 1999 under his System F alias, Out Of The Blue became one of the most celebrated trance tracks of all time. Reaching the UK Top 20, it cemented Ferry’s place as one of the genre’s leading producers.
5️⃣ As his productions gained worldwide recognition, Ferry collaborated and remixed artists including U2, William Orbit, Duran Duran and Ayumi Hamasaki, while taking his sound to audiences across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
6️⃣ From being named Producer of the Year at the Ericsson Muzik Awards to receiving the prestigious Silver Harp Award, Ferry’s impact on electronic music has been recognised throughout his career. His Trance Nation compilations also became some of the genre’s biggest-selling releases.
7️⃣ Never one to stand still, Ferry continued to reinvent his sound with albums like Right of Way and tracks including Rock Your Body Rock, proving his ability to evolve while staying true to his trance roots.
