A little bit of behind-the-scenes footage from our most recent days of filming.

A huge thanks to the very kind folks who opened their homes to us to turn into the interiors of 'The Kings' family home.

They were very hot days and in smaller spaces we operated with something of a skeleton crew so as not to have too many people in small spaces - especially as the actors were dressed for winter!

(Whose idea was it to film Christmas in June? 😂)

One of the strange things about filmmaking is that you end up having to do everything out-of-order.

And so, a few weeks ago we found ourselves filming the final scene of the movie - almost exactly half through the actual shooting process

If was a fantastic if somewhat hectic day. Our Director of Photography, Matt, has captured some incredible footage, and we want to give a huge shoutout to all our cast, crew, choir, extras and dogs (yes, dogs) who’ve been a part of the process so far.

The video captures just a little bit of the scale of the day. Phase 3 starts tomorrow!

A few more behind-the-scenes snaps from filming

These were taken on our last day of filming at St Wilfrid's church - the final scene of the movie*

It was an epic day with a choir, dozens & dozens of extras plus about 40 cast & crew.

Can't wait to share it fully with everyone.

🎬 Well… it’s been a crazy couple of months! 🎄😅

Life in general has been full-on, and I’ve definitely fallen a bit behind on social media… but here’s a little update from the world of Oggy Christmas!

We’re now halfway through filming our feature film, and it’s been a real rollercoaster so far — plenty of highs, along with a few unexpected speed bumps along the way.

As some of you know, we split filming into four blocks.
We’ve now completed Blocks 1 & 2 (with a couple of outdoor scenes postponed thanks to the British weather… we’ll come back for those!).

Block 3 begins in May.

They say never work with children or animals…
So far, we’ve had kids and dogs — and next up we’re looking at a live turkey 🦃
Plus several scenes involving moving vehicles… clearly we’re not doing things by halves!

(I’m fairly sure my next film will just involve two people sitting quietly in a locked room 😂)

Anyway… I thought I’d start sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from Block 2, including filming at St Wilfrid’s Church, Northenden.

A huge thank you to everyone at the church for welcoming us — and to all those who helped transform it into Christmas indoors in the middle of the year! 🎄✨

What a day yesterday!! We shot the end scene of our feature in , Manchester and had over 100 extras including Trafford Music Serv junior Voices choir, needed to black out all the windows of a giant Victorian church - huge thanks to and our minimal crew who worked so hard! However we created Christmas magic! So proud of Everyone involved!! 🎬🎉

EXTRAS WANTED FOR FEATURE FILM
SATURDAY 11th April 10am-6pm

Silver Screen Film Studios are looking for extras for their film ‘Oggy Christmas’! 🎬

No experience necessary. Come and join the fun and see what being on set of a feature film is all about! 🎭

You will be required to react to the very unusual comings and goings in a nativity service. 🌟 You’ll be required to come wearing winter clothing like woolly jumpers and bring snacks and a packed lunch. 🧣

Extras needed between 10am-6pm at a Church in Northenden, Wythenshawe
