🔥 Fire your Video Editor 🔫 !! Or should you? 🤔 Do you edit your own videos? Do we even need video editors or can we just do editing ourselves?

I remember spending months trying to figure out how how to edit professionally in a post production house back in the day 🦕 (because that was the only way).

Now it's dead easy, and with AI... it's a total game changer.

It's been a little while since we checked in so here is what we've been up to in 3 nifty bullet points 😁

1. We've (MotionFish Editors) been editing a whopping amount of Online Courses that we filmed over the last 6 - 12 months... 🎬

2. Some of us actually managed to get out and have nice breaks over August and most of the team got to really chill out on holis abroad (🔥)

3. We've been testing out a lot of AI apps, models, websites... and what not AI over the last few months...

All this leads on to exciting new things coming soon 🙏🏼

Do you find presenting to camera daunting? 😳 Yes, it can be pretty tough, right? Especially if you're not used to presenting! So here is something that can make it a whole lot easier.... 🙏🏼

Use an autocue! 💡

👉🏽 Autocues are basically a lifesaver (for some) when it comes to presenting online course videos. They help you deliver your content smoothly and without any hiccups. That means no more stumbling over words or forgetting important points.

👉🏽 But that's not all. Having a well-written script means you can record your presentation in one go, which saves a ton of time in editing. No more retakes or fiddling around trying to make everything sound just right.

The downside is...

👉🏽 You need to know your script well! You can't wing it. Practice. Or you might sound like C3PO. 🤖

👉🏽 You may loose some of your 'personal' spontaneous charm (yes we all have that!)

🎬 We had a great day filming an online course with the charismatic professional speaker DAVID HYNER 🦏

Great content, brilliantly delivered and very motivating stuff! 🔥

🛑 We really love filming on green screen ✅ They can work so well if done professionally. 🎥 Plus they are ideal for online courses. You can film in your office, loft or lounge and create a course that looks totally premium and professional 🏆

(Unlike the Zoom blur-background-green-screen which sometimes looks like you are beaming up to The Enterprise 🚀 😀)

🛑 We decided to do a smiley selfie 😁 with our happy client last week while filming 3 courses in Worthing (Motionfish team and client) 🔥 🥳

🛑 Have you filmed any videos in your workplace? How did it go?
We recently filmed a tutorial video in a busy London clinic and this is what happened... 🤦🏻‍♂️

We needed to overcome so many challenges... 😨

👉🏽 It was very noisy (patients and traffic outside)
👉🏽 The room was too bright (sun coming in = different lighting)
👉🏽 The room was very small to film in
👉🏽 The presenter had to catch a flight after filming!

Thankfully the clinic staff were amazing and accommodating plus the MotionFish Media Project CIC crew where great at setting everything up professionally within all those constraints....

And the result looks amazing 🔥👊🏼

Unfortunately A lot of company tutorials look too bright, too dark, have wonky frames and are delivered with distracting background noises.

End result is companies create video content that looks unprofessional, is hard to watch and negatively impacts their branding.

So if you are creating client facing video content... either film it well or get it filmed professionally 🥳 🎬 👍🏼

Answer:

Building awareness of Mental Health could never be more important.

We've had a bit of a break from working on online courses this week....

We've have been fortunate enough to film haunting testimonies from Holocaust survivors around the UK.

Below we interviewed Rolph Penzias at an Ilford primary who as a very young boy made his journey escaped N**i Germany on the Kindertransport.
