The midfielder is one of six finalists for the prestigious award, recognition of his impressive performances and continued development under Michael Carrick.

It's remarkable to think that Mainoo could have spent this season at Napoli had his wish to leave at the end of August been granted.

Instead, he stayed at Old Trafford, became a key figure in United's midfield, helped the club secure Champions League football, and is now among the nominees for one of English football's biggest individual honours.

A fully deserved nomination for one of the brightest young talents in the game. ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign Ederson in a deal worth โ‚ฌ45m including add-ons.

โœ… Agreement between all parties in place
โœ… Four-year contract agreed, with an option for a further year
โœ… Medical tests and final formalities to follow
โœ… Transfer expected to be completed in early July

The Brazilian midfielder becomes Michael Carrick's first major signing of the summer and the first piece of United's midfield rebuild.
