🚨 🤖 AI could really be the DEATH of the rock n roll singer songwriter…a few minutes ago I popped in some simple 90s Britpop criteria in 😈 and not only did I create a song with a big 90’s style chorus, but apparently for $19.99 a month I will own the lyrics, melodies and master and it will be ready publish. The song 🤖 spat out called Electric Revelrie” can work for sync, a new song for 🤖 AI band that I can get published as my own song and distributed by Symphonic or Distro Kid and people out there could be duped into believing a starving hardworking singer songwriter sat down and put the time and effort onto their craft to bring this song to life. NOPE it’s free version of the app and I could make an album a day or on my lunch break. Pay the $19.99 and I have a full works song factory pumping AI rubbish into the system a ticked behind dialogue in car ad or movie scene, nobody will ever know. This leads to this question? IF it’s as easy as this why wouldn’t composers, catalogue companies and anyone who just wants to reduce having to put any time into being creative of their project just use this. It’s cheap, easy and soulless. Where will this end?! Just like the labels should have put a stop to Spotify before it got out of Pandora’s box, they should here, but now they’ve bought into all of these companies as the bottom line is $£€ NOT developing artists. Whoever will pay for the subscription and at the expense and real cost of diluting and polluting all the real artists out there. So good news is LIVE music and the feeling of being at the gig, festival or event still has its only magic and that’s still the past, present & future for the independent artist or band. Get out there there, join a band, Jam and play it live to real humans that want the interactive experience. - Cheers,
