Arrived at 6pm Saturday for the 4th event of last week. I never knew The Bowman pub in Hucknall has an 'upstairs' - I do now. Hauling all the kit up and down the (spiral) stairs was a killer lol ... but well worth it for Terry & Lily's 80th birthday celebration with all their many family and friends. Packed room and the dance floor was never empty. Great end to a VERY busy week! Thanks to Diane for booking me.

3rd event last week was the Lambley Village Show (North East side of Nottingham). I provide the sound system, background music and announcements. Always a great atmosphere there with the dog show, 's school of dance display, many trade stalls, mouth-watering cake stalls, bar, proper coffee, food, bouncy slides - a bit of everything. Chloe Barrett (pictured) took to the field at 3pm singing covers of iconic tracks from the likes of Madonna and ABBA ... then I has to hot-foot-it across Nottingham to Hucknall for 6pm ...

WOW! ... What an amazing week it was last week. FOUR events in 7 days. First up Tuesday (Sep 1st) was the Kids Colour Run organised by the HAF Community Group (near Alfreton, Derbys). Powder paint, foam party, paintballing, water slide - what more could a kid want in one day at the end of the school holiday. I provided the sound system, music and commentary for this actioned-packed day. Gail and the HAF volunteers has so much energy - it was one fantastic day to remember. Great party on Saturday night at Stonebroom Community Centre (nr Alfreton) for Liz's 75th. Tracks from across the decades kept the dance floor full and partied well into the night.

Never done a gig in a former colliery until Saturday. Worked alongside the awesome local rock band KADIUM on Saturday night at The Powerhouse & Headstocks, Clipstone, Notts. Such a fantastic 'Industrial' look and feel to the place which sounded great too!
