What if there were no tawbah?

As human beings, there are only two paths: either we respond to Allah through tawbah and return to Him, or we do not make tawbah and become among the wrongdoers. There is nothing in between.

Imagine if there were no tawbah. Imagine if Allah said, “If you disobey Me and sin, you are done, and there is no way to erase it.”

If that were the case, we would all be lost.

But Alhamdulillah, Allah has opened the door of tawbah for us. Through tawbah, sins can be erased. Through dhikr, hearts can be cleansed.

Never underestimate the mercy of Allah. No matter how many times we fall, the door to return remains open for as long as we are alive.

“Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Al-Furqan 25:70)

Why are the Days of Tashriq so beloved to Allah?

From Yawm an-Nahr to Yawm al-Qarr, these are days where sacrifice, prayer, gratitude, takbir, charity, and remembrance come together all at once. The Prophet SAW described them as “days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah”, teaching us that worship in Islam is not separated from joy, gathering, and gratitude.

The sacrifice itself is not what reaches Allah, but the sincerity, taqwa, and obedience behind it. These blessed days remind us of the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail: choosing Allah above comfort, fear, attachment, and the dunya.

The 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah are not just days after Eid. They are days to continue remembering Allah with full hearts.

May Allah allow us to spend these blessed days with hearts full of remembrance, gratitude, and sincerity. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum. ✨
