You may heard that business email validation is getting stricter. This is because Google and Yahoo are putting more validation requirements in place.

This means that any business sending emails sending bulk emails through an email marketing system like MailerLite, Mailchimp, Active Campaign will need to have network records (DNS) validating SPF and DKIM.

Your business will need to be sending these bulk emails from a proper business address that comes from your domain. So you won't be able to send bulk emails with a gmail, yahoo or other free email providers anymore.

Even if you aren't sending bulk emails, you may have heard from customers that your emails are going to spam or perhaps some are getting rejected when you try to send them. These are all signs either you don't have SPF and DKIM records or they aren't set up correctly.

Remember Google offers these 3 free tools to business. Don't miss out on free help for your business.

I know Google gets a bit of bad press, but it's definitely worth setting these up to understand how your business is performing on the internet. Once you've got the info, you can always take action to boost your business profile.

First up we've got:
Google business profile (aka Google my business). Set this up to get a dedicated box on the right hand side on the browser screen when someone searches for your business. Essential to boost your search engine optimisation 😀

There's Google Analytics - this tells you load of stuff. As a small business you'll probably be interested in where traffic to your website is coming from and which pages are most popular.

|Finally there's Google search console. This shows you things like the searches that find your pages and specific problems that Google might have with some of your pages. All useful stuff.

The great news is that these are all free. So I definitely recommend that you set these up when you have a moment even if you don't use them straight away 😀
