A wonderful full-circle kinda thing… 🥰

I cut my teeth as a social media manager working in local government PR 15 years ago.

Today, I was on Whitehall training Public Affairs officers on how they can enhance campaign impact using GenAI tools for press and social media.

ChatGPT helped me close £10k worth of sales in August…

That was one of the case studies for my keynote in Bristol on Wednesday.

I want people to start thinking outside the box.

Idea generation? Sure. Great.
First drafts? Yeah.

But what else are these tools capable of helping us with?? The opportunity really is limited by the imagination so think BIG!

Sales hasn’t always been my strongest skill set, still isn’t if I’m honest.

But now I’ve got a sales mentor at my side to help me put together value led propositions, pricing and sales decks.

Imagine if I was a seasoned sales person using ChatGPT!

My favourite video tool just added a host of AI upgrades, and they're insanely good (and fun!)

Problem: We know the algorithms love video content. We know audiences like to see pictures on socials that aren't stock images!

Reality: Creating videos takes time, stock images are naff and we've got a ton of photos on our phones from over the years.

Solution: The image-to-video function on VEED allows you to bring a still image to life by turning it into a short clip, completely prompted by you and how you want it to look.

We actually generated this image in Ideogram to begin with and then I ran it through VEED to turn it into a clip.

"No one does it quite like you!"

That's what I keep hearing from people who have taken my training courses.

One client, in particular, who saw me deliver a webinar and went on to sign up for AI Made Easy, told me she'd pitched me to the British Library to give a talk!

She said since seeing my webinar for Small Business Britain and taking my course, she hasn't seen another speaker or trainer half as good. 💖

She told me: "I always feel like I learn tons with you in such a short time, and as a small business owner, it’s rare and marvellous!"

While a humble brag, I wanted to leave a few pointers for those thinking about getting into the training or public speaking space:

💫 Do not overwhelm people with too much information (Been there in my early days!)

💫 Keep slides visual and simple (So they listen more than they read)

💫 Always stay anchored to the topic and outcomes/takeaways promised. This will stop you from writing too much, going off on a tangent or getting stressed about whether the audience will find it valuable or not.

Stop filming landscape!

Facebook will now publish all videos as REELs (AKA vertical video) - and while viewers could still turn their phone around to see it landscape, it’s better to start thinking vertically on the first instance x

Our story begins in 2015 with Natalie Sherman, a social media manager who had been honing her craft in the action (and occasional mania) of local government. Moving on from those oh-so-fun days, Natalie was determined to harness social media to resource the difference-makers of the world - whether they be charities or companies. If you could create profit from social media, surely you could create real change too, right?

So Naturally Social became a thing

It started with social media. With engaging the great buzz of conversation and banter on the web. But after working with many businesses, we realised the best results occurred when all communications were co-ordinated, working together as part of a wider strategy. So Naturally Social shifted focus to promote conversation from every angle - while keeping social at the sharp end of what we do.
