Recent commercial clearance work in Burnley.
My clients property bordered with a conservation area. After an onsite meeting with the green space manager of the borough, we agreed on terms to thin the bordering vegetation and prune away from the building.
We aimed to provide a longer lasting solution to keep the trees and vegetation clear.
Straight forward and simple prune backs going forward to maintain a healthy clearance from the building.
The wood chipping arisings were scattered across the ground, contributing to soil improvements by retaining moisture and feeding fungi such as mycorrhizae, in turn helping trees absorb vital nutrients.
Wood chipping’s can suppress weeds, giving young native trees a better chance to thrive.
Habitat piles were constructed throughout the woodland, providing support for many priority species, such as the stag beetle, a protected species under the wildlife and countryside act.
All works have been carried out in accordance with the British standard for tree work : BS 3998
