Get ready stargazers: the Perseid meteor shower peaks next week, Aug. 12-13, bringing up to 100 shooting stars per hour, along with the potential for dazzling fireballs. The Perseid meteor shower has been active since 17 July until 24 August, with the number of meteors increasing every night until it reaches a peak in mid-August, after which it will tail off, though there will still be stragglers to be enjoyed! Especially from an outdoor bath tub! (pic below not mine).
