Look out for the summer newsletter for Our Hospitals Charity, which has just been signed off today! Ben Murphy, Sarah Carlton, Marie Levy.

I love, love, LOVE writing this! It keeps me so busy, but takes me back to my roots of healthcare and human interest stories.

I get to meet and talk to some amazing people doing fantastic things to support improvements to healthcare in our local area, from 'Nutty Knitters' to the most brave people who have raised funds in memory of loved ones, despite their enormous grief. It's such a privilege to help share their experiences.

Thank you to everyone who has got this latest project over the line and I really hope it helps showcase the fantastic work of Our Hospitals Charity so they can raise even more funds!

Plans for a NEW £35m medical building at Teesside University have been revealed 🧪🤩

The new science and medical centre will be part of the University’s School of Health and Life Sciences, providing cutting edge facilities for students studying:

🧍 Anatomy
🔭 Imaging
🔬 Microbiology
⚗️ Chemistry
🌎 Earth and food sciences

This will be built as part of their £275m campus masterplan and will be ready for the 2023 academic year 👏

I'm really pleased to be doing some work with Shak Asghar and the fantastic team at Nudl, writing some case studies for their website.

I was also able to turn one of the case studies into a press release that achieved coverage in The Northern Echo.

This detailed how skignz a breakthrough digital business based in Middlesbrough's Boho, got funding through Nudl to bring one of its products to a new market.

I get more of a buzz out of seeing my clients' stories in the newspaper than I ever did as a journalist getting a byline!

Being able to use my skills as a journalist and PR professional to help my clients get the recognition and acknowledgement they deserve is a great feeling.

The Gaming Hideaway Thornaby is a fantastic post-pandemic success story for Teesside.

One year after opening up in Thornaby when covid restrictions were lifted - not knowing whether the business would sink or swim in a post-pandemic world - Rachel and Kaiyn Crooks have already got the keys to their second venue in Bishop Auckland.

More news will follow for both Thornaby and Bishop Auckland later in the year.
