What I loved most was seeing people grow in confidence — some who’d never filmed before were creating great stuff by the end of the session.

Incredible day capturing content at the Recovery Connections 2024-2025 Awards event!

So many inspiring stories of positive change, innovation, and—most importantly— hope for those facing addiction.

Over the past four months, I have been producing and directing a documentary film here in the Tees Valley.

Funded by Cleveland Police and co-created with local public and charity services, "Night & Day - The Route to Recovery" will be showcased in police custody facilities across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, and Redcar.

This film blends emotional and educational elements with real-life contributions from individuals who have experienced addiction and/or domestic violence in our community. The film delves into their journeys to recovery through local services in the Tees Valley, highlighting how these experiences have transformed their lives.

By presenting these powerful stories in local custody services, we aim to connect viewers with each narrative and inform them about the local support available to change lives.

Tonight we attended a screening of a film we've spent the last two years crafting for children in need and partnering with charity Hart Gables.

We believe in the profound emotional impact of our work at Hue21 and how film making can make a difference to the wider community.
