Can you believe it? 2 god blessed years. What started out as a white walled (with pink murals) room with a single key and a dream, evolved into a content machine even I couldn’t have dreamed of. Expanded into another studio, expanded to another location, shot podcasts for the BBC, Suzuki, network rail, BSI, love islanders, footballers, shot formula 1 at Silverstone, the years have just exploded and we keep adding so many wonderful new monthly clients. 1 million view YouTube channel, 10.5 million views for clients. 1000s of episodes 10s of 1000s of clips on socials, multi award winning and never rocked off #1 on Google. Without touching on all the usual waffle of 6k that and “we’ve done this”… instead I’ll talk of the more meaningful s**t. Starting the studio with a single client and hardly any cash was a complete punt in the dark, and a point my now fiancé was so helpful in being part of. The short story is, it’s changed my life. Pioneering podcast production in the city has obviously come with its set backs (16 hour days, no blue print or model to copy, doing every business aspect plus being a parent and partner and working Monday to Monday for a year! And obviously people knocking you when they seem to forget you do every shoot and edit and manage the business and all the socials all by yourself!) but it’s also come with plenty more positives, like I can within reason, do whatever I want… I would say hands down the biggest change in my life is the utter freedom it’s bought. I used to think chasing that first “£10k a month agency” status was the first milestone, but in reality 10k a month is a splash in the pond of possibilities. So you start chasing 20, then I guess 30k months?… at some point you just realise that chucking my daughter & fiancé in a camper van and driving her across the country to hike a mountain, make a campfire and enjoy each others happiness, that’s the real change I’ve reached in life. Anyway, enough of the sentimental. I’m very proud of myself and totally could never have got here without the people around me, the mentors, the advice, the millions of f**k ups. It’s all part of the beautiful journey. So what’s next for year 3?… 😘
