Life lately 🌤️ The reality of running my business while looking after a baby, as well as myself, set in hard last month! Gone are the days where I could put her somewhere and she’d stay right there, long gone!

Work is busy as ever! Even though it’s hard to work right now 😂 It’s the better problem to have though!

I have a few long-haul projects in the making which I can share soon - but in the meantime we are expanding thanks to a new member of staff and taking on new clients for:

Or, neuro-spicy as I like to call it 🌶️✨ I haven’t had a diagnosis, but at this point I don’t think it’s needed 😂 I’m lucky enough to have to compare minds with!

All the neuro-spiced, give me a 🌶️✨👋🏽 say hi!

I definitely put my powers to good use use in my business - I’m able to think outside the box, see clever connections, and understand many MANY disciplines - I’m great a pub quiz.

That being said, ADHD is hectic!

For me it disrupts routine, no matter how many times I try to enforce a routine, and my mind is racing with thoughts. I probably have 30 thoughts or ideas about my day before I’ve even got out of bed.

I’m definitely not alone! I know so many people with ADHD - all of whom are intelligent, loyal, creative and insanely sweet, but I know they struggle too!

I love a wedding!💍 I had the pleasure of creating Save The Dates for Rob & Michelle at 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The wedding has a Scottish-inspired aesthetic with touches of blue and tartan. I illustrated some Scottish wildflowers - of course including thistles - along with snowdrops, cow parsley, and blackberries. To finish it off, I tied Rob and Michelle’s initials together with a tartan ribbon as a nod to handfasting.

I can’t wait for all the invites and additional illustrations to follow!

If everyone bought their Valentine’s gifts from local independent retailers, the economic impact on the community would be significant.

THE MATHS: for every £1 spent at a local business, approx 63p stays in the local economy, compared to just 40p or less when spent at large chains.

Let’s estimate the potential impact of TODAY ALONE in the UK 🌸❤️💕

In recent years, UK’ers have spent around £1.3 billion on Valentine’s gifts.

If spent at large retailers, about £520 million stays local (40%).
If spent at independent shops, about £820 million stays local (63%).

That’s a £300 million boost to local economies nationwide just by shifting spending from big chains to independent businesses.

On a smaller scale, even in a small town, if just 1,000 people each spent £50 locally, that could inject over £31,500 into the local economy instead of £20,000 if spent at chains.
