The Small Business Expert is now Isle of Wight-based!! 🙌🏽🐚

Yep, my daughter, Island, and myself have moved to the island! 🥹

When I moved to Milton Keynes at age 19, I planned to stay a year and head back home to the Isle of Wight. But life got in the way and one thing led to another, I started a business, I met some incredible people, and I ended up staying for 12 years! 🥹

To everyone in Beds, Bucks, Herts - I have made friends that I’m going to have forever, and this isn’t goodbye, I’ll still come up to visit often!

And you know me, I can work from anywhere, so don’t hesitate to contact me!

The decision came because of my little girl 🥹 I always imagined raising my children on the island, it was such an amazing place to grow up for me. And now she’s 1 year old, working while looking after her was becoming impossible, my anxiety was through the roof, and I needed more support - as the saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child” well, in my case, I needed an island!

I’m beyond excited to start working with more IOW businesses, after all, I’m so passionate about this island! It’s such a special place!

I’m so keen to showcase the amazing talent we have here and get the indie businesses booming!
I also fully intend to bring life back to Newport and Sandown and support the relationships between the business owners and the council.

But most of all, I’m excited to get back to the me that loves the beach, that loves the hills, the sea, the tiny high streets, and the slower pace of life ☺️

Isle of Wight, here we go! 🫶🏽

New Milestone Unlocked - 1000 Projects 🥹🌟 That’s 1000 small businesses and start-ups I’ve helped to produce across the UK 🥹

As always, I’m so appreciative of every client and every booking! Especially now as I’m raising my daughter.

Vitroment started in 2022, with “science, sustainability, and simplicity” in mind. We created a collection of plant-based all-in-one daily dose supplements that offer complete support for your skin, cognitive function, immune system as well as a multivitamin complex for kids.

The strategy for Vitroment was based on a quick ROI, so for this particular product we focused on UGC, ads, and getting genuine feedback that we can use to promote the products further.

“I’m feeling burnt out” is the best seller 🧠 We focused ads on people struggling with ADHD and workload - and as there aren’t many supplements available on the market, it’s easy to stand out! Especially when you’re getting reviews like these! 🌟

Life lately 🌤️ The reality of running my business while looking after a baby, as well as myself, set in hard last month! Gone are the days where I could put her somewhere and she’d stay right there, long gone!

Work is busy as ever! Even though it’s hard to work right now 😂 It’s the better problem to have though!

I have a few long-haul projects in the making which I can share soon - but in the meantime we are expanding thanks to a new member of staff and taking on new clients for:

If everyone bought their Valentine’s gifts from local independent retailers, the economic impact on the community would be significant.

THE MATHS: for every £1 spent at a local business, approx 63p stays in the local economy, compared to just 40p or less when spent at large chains.

Let’s estimate the potential impact of TODAY ALONE in the UK 🌸❤️💕

In recent years, UK’ers have spent around £1.3 billion on Valentine’s gifts.

If spent at large retailers, about £520 million stays local (40%).
If spent at independent shops, about £820 million stays local (63%).

That’s a £300 million boost to local economies nationwide just by shifting spending from big chains to independent businesses.

On a smaller scale, even in a small town, if just 1,000 people each spent £50 locally, that could inject over £31,500 into the local economy instead of £20,000 if spent at chains.
